HA. no.... hubs had a bow but never used it so he sold it. I was a TERRIBLE hunter I'll be honest. My sweet friend was so patient with me, we were sitting up in her stand and seeing NOTHING ( I'm used to MI where if you can get home without hitting 1 you had a good night!) so there I sit trying to e all quiet and all we were seeing were squirrels and woodpeckers so for a while I was shooting them... lol
and her sitting there. I was always afraid I would have nightmares if I ever got 1 but I didn't, didn't bother me a bit, my guess is that I've eaten so much of it that now it's food instead of bambi.

You sitting under the tree locked n loaded brings back so many memories! Did you ever have to dress out a deer? Such "fun".
I've always lived in No. Mi. so I know what you mean about "road kill"
One time I shot a partridge just cuz I was bored not seeing any deer.
One of my favorite memories as a kid was getting close to the school and smelling cooking elk...best meat, even above venison!

lol That's not me, that's my friend. That girl has the biggest rack I've ever seen on her wall and SHE is the 1 that got it!!
Roadkill was always a joke to me UNTIL I moved to MI... I swear we lived on roadkill most of the time. Once I came home from work and there was venison and noodles waiting and I was like yummmm, where did you get this? His response... the doe he hit on the way home!! hahahahaha
And no, I've never field dressed a deer. I saw mine done, they told me I had to eat the heart, I said yeah.... no... lol. It's funny you said that about the shooting the bird. On this hunting trip we seriously weren't seeing anything and hubs got so bored sitting there all day that he shot 3 wild turkey's... someone said they didn't know it was turkey season... he said it isn't? lol

hahahahaha OMG too funny, I am always opening my mouth to put my foot in!! I did it just today with my Mom.... she was laughing so hard her face was red and she had tears in her eyes trying to look stern about what I accidentally said.

lol it's REALLY BAD!! It's totally NOT what I meant, I have a nose ring and everyone keeps pushing my nose ring in and I said everyone keeps trying to poke my hole... I meant the darn nose ring hole!!
