Just when I think I have the process down, something happens that I just cant figure out...

Im using a HH357 on a Grand.

I start to notice the flavor/ vapor drop drop off, I think it needs a little sqonk. Most of the time I get it right and carry on smartly.

Sometimes though, I dont squonk enough and I get a dry hot hit, so I squonk some more, now its flooded! So I try to vape through the flood, and I STILL get dry hot vaporless hits with juice splashing all up in my mouth! How is this even possible! Im not vaping hard, but this makes no sense to me!

How can I get a dry hot vaporless hit with a flooded atty and a mouth full of juice! I cant figure it out!

Consider a Cherry Vape Universal drip tip from COV. Should get to you pretty quickly. It will add some length in the same manner as the long barrel version and help eliminate the spitting when flooded. Also, try a more powerful, shorter draw. It will suction the juice from the mesh over the coil in a fine mist to be vaporized. Long, slow draws lend to a milkshake thru a straw type dynamic. You get juice in your mouth instead of it hitting the coil.

With the Cherry Vape Universal drip tip, you can use any 510 drip tip you like. If you have a stainless tip on hand already, no harm in trying.

Yeh.....I ONLY use the long barrel 357s too. The short ones (regular sized) always spit at me. The 357s (I've found) are a little more tempermental than the regular attys I've used in the past....but the flavor and the vapor make them worth conquering. Sometimes when I flood mine, I really can't seem to just vape through it. I end up unscrewing the atty and sopping out the catch cup with a paper towel or a q-tip. Getting it just right gets a lot easier with practice, but it DOES take practice. But it's worth it....the 357s are the best attys I've ever used....

i am not an hh357 enthusiast, but hey - when it comes to attys, we all know that "inconsistency" in experiencing vaping...

anyway, a great insight for me about squonking and atty handling in general was a comment about the

sip without pushing the power button

what i perform freely and as recommended more often than squonking but not after every 'powered' pull, just as it comes...

it was this 'sip' that introduced me to a close and relaxed relation to my cisco specs interior life... and fusion attys and others...

and: when all goes wrong, i just switch to a carto without loosing one prong in the crone...

As much as I want to like the HH.357, I just haven't quite figured it out yet. The 306s do such a great job, it's difficult to devote time to mastering the 357...

And call me crazy, but I actually think the 306 tastes better... IMO, the 357 makes big clouds, but doesn't taste any better than your standard 510...

Ok, what makes the 306s performance better than a 510?

They're very forgiving on oversquonk, and they taste great. Very easy to learn... I seem to get better flavor out of the 306 then the 510. Draw technique definitely matters, and I think the 306 matches my draw type better...

But honestly, not as big of a cloud as the 357. It really is personal preference...

The way everyone talks about the 357 makes me feel like I'm missing out on something, but I'm afraid I don't have the patience to master it...
