Me! :toast:

Sorry for this somewhat useless thread, but I'm very excited! This is what I just ordered:
3 LR BE510 Cartomizer
3 LR Boge 510 Carto - Matte Black
1 Prodigy - Full Kit/3.7v - Media Blasted - 510 connection

This will be my third PV since I started vaping a month ago (haven't had an analog since!). I went from a basic Joye 510 to an eGo-T to the Prodigy v3.1.

Any tips for a noob like me? I'm really looking forward to this arriving at my door step.

Congrats, the v3 is the type of device that you can keep forever. Stainless steel/all mechanical, its a good one to have.

Yea, that's how I convinced myself to spend the money on it. lol

I'm sure my switch to vaping will end up saving me money some day. That was one of the reasons why I switched. There's just too much fun stuff to buy though!

Slomchom did you get it yet?? i ordered the same night as you, got mine on monday and i love it!! Hope you are as pleased as i am with it, let us know....

No... didn't get it yet. The tracking number says it's still in Tennessee. Might be here in a couple days hopefully...

It says the post office initially received the package yesterday. How did you get yours so quickly? I'm jealous! :)

Hiya SlomChom and julep........I ordered mine on Sunday, and it was shipped yesterday. I'm upgrading from the 801 (still plan to use 801 and BE112 atomizers, tho). I'm going with 6v. Can't wait!

:)

I would also like to hear any advice that one might have to offer. While doing some research, I came across one poster who suggested leaving the batteries out of the charger for about an hour after charging to allow the voltage to decrease somewhat. I guess the higher voltage can pop atomizers. That may not apply to 3.7v, tho.

Btw, SlomChom, it sounds like you will have a very nice-looking unit. The media blasted finish with the matte black seems like a really good combination.

I loved my 801 for the chrome finish, and am trying to keep it alive with the satin finish on the v3.1, which is as close as I can get. I was curious to see what it would look like with the 801, so I did a little searching, and this is the result:

.... ugly, ain't it? Lol! As soon as my 801s are gone, I'm going to switch over to BE112s (which are all silver) with a stainless steel zip tip, and it'll look a whole lot better.

:)

That looks pretty... interesting. haha

Yea, I heard a lot of good things about the media blasted finish, so I chose that one. I do like shiny finishes, but keeping them clean and looking good is a pain. I couldn't decide between the BE510's and the Boge's, so I ordered a few of each to test for myself. :)

I just hope it gets here soon! My current gear is in bad shape... I'm stuck with a 1000mAh eGo-T batt and a cracked Clearomizer. It's still working well enough to keep me away from analogs though!

Hmm... I need to order myself some LR 510 atty's soon. I like dripping. :vapor:

Yeah, likewise on being in bad shape with my current setup. I'm using an 801 HV atomizer with a standard 801 battery, which technically isn't supposed to work. After a couple of days of breaking in a new atomizer though, it's performing surprisingly well, although not enough to keep me from the occasional analog.

I haven't been vaping much longer than you have -- since the beginning of February, actually. Fussing with cartridges got old real quick, so all I do is drip now, even on auto. I just have to hold my PV at a sly angle to keep from ruining my batteries. It's a delicate dance to keep from ending up with a mouthful of fluid, tho.

That applies only to 6v. I have never had a problem using the 14500s right off the charger.

I didn't know that about letting the batteries sit, no way i could have waited an hour to try this out lol..i'm using it at 3.7 anyways. I have been using the same 17670 1600 mah battery for the last 24 hours. I thought it would be weird having the button on the bottom but its not, and i like being able to shut it off when its in my pocket. One thing i did do was put some plumbers grease on all the threads.

Slomchom and Autumn i hope both of yours arrives tomorrow...let us know...

Someone else over there suggested that the v3.1 at 6v will make one grow balls on their chest..............

Sorry about posting so much on your thread, SlopChop. I'll start my own once this thing is delivered.

I really want to see what yours looks like once it's all assembled. I hope you post some pics!

:thumb:

I forgive you (even for calling me SlopChop :p) lol

I'll probably end up buying the 6v setup eventually just to try it out. I went with the 3.7v for now just because it'll work with the cartos and atties I already have.

Oh, and I managed to rescue one of my month-old 510 atties. I left it soaking in alcohol for like 12 hours and it works somewhat well now. It'll hold me over until my order gets here. :D

Yea, I'm going to try and let the batteries charge before I try it out. I'm not worried about having the button on the bottom either... With the way I normally hold my eGo, it'll be easy to access the button. :D

USPS is expecting my package to arrive tomorrow. We'll see tho...

I'm hoping the 6v won't be *too* strong, but at least I won't be able to complain about it not being strong enough. If it is too strong, I s'pose I can ease up a bit. I actually just bought the base kit from PS, and 2 Tenergy chargers with batteries from Amazon. If you plan to upgrade to 6v in the future, send me a pm, and I can send you the link(s) to the ones I bought. Or you can investigate on your own. After doing a couple of hours of math on the various options, it only ended up being a savings of about $23, but it's a justifiable enough savings for me.

I have also used alcohol (90%) to revive a couple of atomizers. They didn't last a whole lot longer afterward, but it worked nonetheless! You should be good 'til your kit arrives, anyway.

:)

Yeah, it's gonna be a tough one. I'll just do something almost as equally satisfying during my wait, like eat a cheesecake or something.

Will do. As I stated above, I ordered my supplies separately, but both packages are expected tomorrow. I'm watching FedEx and USPS with great anticipation.

Kinda makes one wonder if just missing a single freakin ramp might delay a package one more day, lol.

Does the prodigy v3 6v come with a drip tip, cartridge, or neither? I don't see anything listed on their site it just says 1 atomizer, 4 batts, and a charger come with it. I'm hoping it's like the home page pic, where you get the ss zip tip and atty.

I'm about to order and just wondering what's included.

Thanks

I don't believe it comes with either of those... You can pick up some carts and drip tips from Puresmoker though. They're pretty cheap. :)
