You guys went crazy last night, so I'll just post back to everyone.
I am a self-taught lefty. There really isn't right and left knitting. Both hands have to do something, so once you get the knit and purl stitches down, you can do almost anything. Knitting was something I wanted to try as a way to stop smoking. It didn't really work well for the quitting part, but did make it easier to deal with waiting places where I couldn't smoke inside during the long waits or on road trips where I couldn't smoke in the vehicle and had to wait for the next stop.
The socks are done from the toes up, on 2 circular needles. I didn't want to have to sew anything together, and as long as I don't give up after the first sock, I will end up with a pair. Socks are more of a mindless knitting for me, and involve lots of counting. There is the magic that happens when you turn the heel, but after that, just more counting.
I do collect the sock yarns like the Provari's because there are so many cool colors and if they didn't want you to buy more, they would only come in basic black and white/silver. I have a nice stash of yarns as well as DIY supplies for the dooming. I need to get busy on the DIY sweater that has been lonely since I've been goofing off over here, but if anyone is done with their stocking up on vape gear, Webs yarn dot com is starting their big sale season, so there will be lots of pretties to be had in time for holiday knitting while y'all enjoy vapin' on the goodies you harvested over the summer.
I ordered one of the 2.5 Zombies yesterday to go with some of the socks I've already made. If someone happened to have a Super Bird in his driveway, this would be the perfect mod to go with your Roadrunner. Collecting Provari will take up less space in your garage, but old MOPAR would be fun too.
see, I kept it mostly on topic with only a few spins off track and into the sand pit.
