So I was careful and did my math on ohms per foot divided by 12, then measured out the appropriate length of wire and made my coil. I was shooting for 2.9ish ohms. It was a safe Ohm rating and it worked good, I had no multimeter to test it. So I throw it on this SVD I just recieved just to see how accurate my guess is...it says 3.9Ohms. Just goes to show even the best thought out guess can still be wrong and now I see why a multimeter or Ohm checking PV is so important.
