Hello everyone,
Please bear with me. I've only really known about electronic cigarettes for about three weeks. I've done a fair amount of reading, and am assuming all of my questions have probably been answered previously in this forum, but it's nice to have the answers in one place.
I ordered a branded (m403 I believe) starer kit, without doing too much research. I made this decision because originally I didn't want to deal with filling my own cartridges, and I liked the size, and convenience.
What I've found thus far with this product is that it's quite inconsistent. Upon further research, I've found several similar stories with this particular brand. My biggest concern is that I expected this product to closely emulate an analog cigarette, and I am not receiving the throat hit that I had anticipated. I do believe I have one faulty battery (it came with two) and possibly a faulty atomizer. The customer service seems wonderful, and they are replacing the parts I need. I have found that the batteries only last a couple of hours, and the cartridges are going quick. I'm not sure if this is the specific company, or the model itself.
The bottom line is that it's not what I had hoped for.
So, my first question is:
Should I bother continuing to use this product, while trying different juices and replacement parts to modify the ecig to my needs, or should I consider sucking it up and purchasing a different starter kit all together? If I purchase (what I believe is m403) atomizers from different companies, will this make a difference, or are all atomizers and batteries for the m403 model relatively equal? I understand that this company uses VG, instead of PG, and this might make a difference in the throat hit.
Because I have been disappointed, I am considering just scrapping my purchase, and starting over.
At first I wanted something that looked and acted identical to an analog cigarette, with disposable cartridges, and a traveling charger pack (PCC).
The more I researched, and the experience I've had so far, the more I am now leaning towards a better battery, consistent vapor with a strong throat hit, and refillable cartridges.
Should I:
A. Tinker with my branded m403 to see if I can get some consistency? (I hate thinking I wasted 60 dollars when I could fix it with little expense, and returning the product for a full refund is not an option at this point)
or
B. Purchase a Joye Ego with PCC, and a few juices to try? (this seems to be the best option in the research I've completed)
I just want a solid, consistent product, thats far less expensive than smoking.
Sorry about the long-winded post, but I wanted to tell my story, and ensure I am asking the right questions. Any help is greatly appreciated! A little background, Ive been a smoker for about 10 years. Recently, I decided to quit smoking by using smokeless tobacco (dip), in order to break myself of the smoking routine. I now realize that I love nicotine to relax, (just as people love caffeine for a boost), and I find smoking to be expensive, and disgusting, but not nearly as disgusting as the dip bottles I leave all over the place. When I found vaping, I was quite excited to say the least.
