Spare atomizer(s)

New to e-cigs... wish I would have found this forum sooner!

My mom had gotten a flyer for an e-cig brand sold by a local startup company called Elxtro. I purchased an Elxtro 8084SW and although I guess it is "okay", I am certain I could have made a better choice had I done research. As best I can tell, it is either a re-branded DSE103, M403, KR808, or RN4081. Who knows! Anyway, from reading this forum, I think it would be an excellent idea to buy an extra atty or two just in case. I am attempting to quit smoking using this thing... so obviously it needs to work. Always!

Only thing is, they do not sell extra atomizers on their site, so I need to get a different brand. But I don't know which one. Judging from the cartridges, it kind of looks akin to a Smoking Everywhere 2.0, but again, I am not sure. I am thinking of just emailing the company but I am afraid that he will either not know, or not want to admit that he is selling a re-branded cheapo (though I don't know how cheap it really is).

So far so good though, but it's only been a couple days. Definitely bought into the lie about 1 cart = 1 pack. Hahahaha. Good one! I did order up a bottle of vanilla juice from ElectroNicStix.

If you are looking to get a new model look at Truesmokers.com they have a "Dragon" m401 that looks amazing (and much cheaper), and even though I have not tried it I do have another model (j108b) which is similar; I prefer it over my Joye510. The only issue with the m401's is they are sound sensitive which means no loud music/strong winds, but JD mentioned he is going to be getting some manual batteries and a PCC for the Dragon soon.

Sending an e-mail to the company couldn't hurt though. I mean whats the worst that can happen either you get a reply with I don't know or it is (insert model here)

The SmokeEverywhere, 4081, etc are some of the worse PV's (personal vaporizers) sold sorry to say. A vast majority of us have made the switch to manual switch PV's as they provide much better performance and reliability. Some also have batteries that last 6-8 hours on a charge and only cost $2 instead of the $15-$20 you are going to pay.

I would strongly suggest for your second PV to get a manual switch PV. The type you have are also bad for getting liquid in the battery and stop working. That cannot happen with the manual devices. And with the manuals you control how warm the vapor is. Here are some links to look at:

i am a convert from the "who made this" mall brand to the blu cig and have found my home in an automatic / manual switch 510 model. if you like it great but the moment you start to hate the liquid in your mouth and sometimes works sometimes doesn't / many other issues i have had just pick up a 510 model ( manual batterys do kick .... )

You have a choice. You can listen to people who will knock it down, scrap it, & buy another one, or you can use it to learn on before you make any more decisions.

Since you've already paid for it, you may want to try it for a short time to work on the learning curve, and get the feel for vaping.

If you decide to give it a trial run for a while, give us more information so we can identify it, and give you a few tips to ease the starters pains. An accurate description of all parts, and any numbers on the charger would be a good start.

Thanks for the replies. Sadly I could have gotten a Janty Stick v2 for what I paid for this thing. And as someone mentioned, yes, the brand I got is sold in malls, though I ordered it online (and waited over a month for it).

Although it works mostly, I know I can get better. Also, my wife wanted to try one of these too. I told her I'd buy one and if we liked it, we'd get another. Well..... I am thinking of just getting two of something else and keep this as a spare after I use up the carts I have (he gave me 10 with the kit and I have used 3). As for sucking in the juice on this cheapo one... yes, that has happened. I have been "storing" it with the filter side UP since then and it actually seems to be helping. I wonder if some of the carts are over-filled from the manufacturer.

These are my two thoughts right now:

The Stick has many more advantages: batteries that last 5-8 hours on a charge instead of 1-2 hours with the Dura-C; bigger capacity with the 801 atomizer than the Dura-C; batteries that cost $2 to replace instead of $15-$20 to replace and you will be replacing batteries; people don't think you are still a smoker and should be put in a cage and pitied.

I could get one of each, but I saw that Innovapor has pretty good deals on multiple 510s in kits. And if I have this correct, the Joye 510 is the same thing as a Dura-C. So many choices.

Medium to heavy vaping (hitting it every 4-8 minutes), the 510/Dura-C will give you 1-2 hours battery life on a charge before you have to change batteries. The Stick will give you 5-7 hours. And the cost difference in batteries is significant. Most new vapers are like your wife thinking they want it to look just like an analog. After a couple of months, wanting less hassle and more consistent vaping, most of us moved up to the Prodigy, Screwdriver, Stick, etc.

But if you want it to look more like the real thing then the only two manual battery PV's like that currently are the 510/Dura-C and now the manual DSE901. I've heard that the manual 901 may give you an extra hour of battery life over the Dura-C/510 but do not know that personally. Here are three good suppliers carring both the manual 901 and the 510.

I'll likely end up moving on to a stick (or something even better that may come along), but for now I will keep things simple and get one of the 510 multi-kits from Innovapor. My wife seems genuinely interested in trying this and having us both on the same model will make our learning experience go quicker as well as have plenty of spare parts.

I have heard that Innovapor has coupon codes on MySpace, but we aren't that cool yet and don't have an account. Anyone know of any coupon codes out there for Innovapor? We will likely get the $125 or $150 kit with some extra goodies.

awesome deal, i just started vaping over a month ago, and i see myself moving towards a janty stik2 or even a higher voltage model. As of right now, I have the 901 and recently gave my 510 to a heavy smoker. I just recomend having 2-3 batteries a piece with the 510, but you'll probably find out ;-). As of right now i get by great with 3 batteries and a couple 901 atomizers that i pack around in a little sunglasses pouch bundled with my fav juice of the day, maybe a spare cart or 2. really does take a tiny bit of trial and error, and a little time to figure out your own preferences.

The 510 is a good choice; fairly low learning curve, and it works great to kick the analog habit. It's got enough vapor that it 'fools' you, if you know what I mean.

I just ordered my Janty Stick from dietsmokes.com and I am real excited to get something with batteries that last.

good luck, I think you will be surprised when you take a drag off an analog after a week or two. Those things are disgusting!
