So, I've been sick most of the fall and all of the winter so far. I finally went to the doctor and as I suspected I've had a sinus infection for about a month now. So I was going through the whole rigamarole when my doctor asks the question
"Are you smoking?" he asks.
"No, well, when I got sick I did have two packs, but other than that I haven't since August."
Silence
Head and eyes down, bracing myself for the worst I squeak out, "Well, I've been using an electric cigarette."
Cautiously I glanced up out of the corner of my eye, just waiting for it. I had prepared by arming myself with the results of the Boston University study. But to my surprise, my doctor, was fine and thought it was also a better choice than cigarettes. He said he didn't see the problem with it, and nicotine wasn't the problem with smoking.
So I did harbor a bit of guilt that maybe I shouldn't be vaping (lol, like that ever stopped my from smoking) but now I feel relieved. I read all the studies and am sure that vaping is better than smoking, but feel much better hearing that it's a better choice than smoking from my own healthcare provider.
