So, I've been sick most of the fall and all of the winter so far. I finally went to the doctor and as I suspected I've had a sinus infection for about a month now. So I was going through the whole rigamarole when my doctor asks the question
"Are you smoking?" he asks.
"No, well, when I got sick I did have two packs, but other than that I haven't since August."
Silence
Head and eyes down, bracing myself for the worst I squeak out, "Well, I've been using an electric cigarette."
Cautiously I glanced up out of the corner of my eye, just waiting for it. I had prepared by arming myself with the results of the Boston University study. But to my surprise, my doctor, was fine and thought it was also a better choice than cigarettes. He said he didn't see the problem with it, and nicotine wasn't the problem with smoking.
So I did harbor a bit of guilt that maybe I shouldn't be vaping (lol, like that ever stopped my from smoking) but now I feel relieved. I read all the studies and am sure that vaping is better than smoking, but feel much better hearing that it's a better choice than smoking from my own healthcare provider.

Hey, you are a nonsmoker now! You should be proud! Enjoy your Christmas and spoil yourself a bit for kicking the analogs!

:toast:

Correctly stated, she is an ex-smoker, just like the rest of us and anyone that smoked more than 99 cigarettes. That's crucial so that the extremist epidemiologists are able to keep the fatality numbers elevated as long as politically possible.

I did spoil myself. Those Christmas sales were my downfall I tell you!

LOL so true. What's funny is I'm always getting some new juice or something in the mail, yet I'm STILL not spending what I did before on smokes.

I had a cold last week....the end. You know what I'm saying. No bronchitis, no sinus infection, no ear infection. I was able to just have a cold like everyone else. Never been so happy to be sick. That's what sealed it for me. I haven't had "just a cold" in forever. It always turns into a major PITA.

Congrats!! Enjoy the new year cigarette free!

Sainted,

A saying to live by "if you can't spoil yourself than how can you justify spoiling anyone else."

So practicing what I preach I spoil both myself and my SO and than everything is good. :D

Just have to make sure that spoilage goes around equally.:lol:
