Okay, any help or insight is appreciated here: Here is my setup.
ATTY = RBA from Smokerevolt (Genesis style).
Wick = 85%Cotton, 35% Hemp. Boiled twice for 20 mins each time.
Coil = 2.5 ohm self wrapped. Slightly burned before coiling up, using a cigarrette lighter flame.
Voltage = 4.7 volts under load.
E-juice = 50/50 PG/VG - 16 mg nicotine.

After vaping for a few hours, two days in a row, I got a feeling like there was gunk stuck in my throat, also sort of a lumpy feeling. It was very annoying. I ended up gargling with Aloe Vera juice, and eating a meal before my throat got cleared out again.
I was drinking a lot of coffee, in order to keep meself hydrated, as I usually do.

This new RBA using Cotton/Hemp really produces a lot of vapor, and it gave me sort of a fluffy taste, but no throat hit at all, none - zilch. So I was surprised with the gunky throat feeling. I do like the fluffiness, and the lacking of TH, I can live with, because it is compensated with the amount of vapor coming out. But the darn gunky throat drives me crazy.

This does not happen with the same e-juice, using my joy 510 tank, nor with my DCT Carto, both 2.5 ohm and the same 4.7 volts.
Any ideas about where this gunky throat is coming from? I really like this RBA, but, I hate the throat feeling.

I think the issue could also simply be that as you say "This new RBA using Cotton/Hemp really produces a lot of vapor". So if you are vaping at the same number of drags per hour as with your other gear you are getting more vapor, which is the same as vaping more often with the other gear.

I used to get that gunky throat feeling when I vaped a lot of 70/30 PG/VG. I switched to 50/50 and that made it better for me. I still get it if I over-vape, but not as quickly. It could also be something else in the liquid. Lowering the PG did it for me so I didn't do any more experimenting, but it might not be right for everyone.

On the lack of TH, I don't know your attie, but on my AGA-T2 I can rotate the attie cover a bit to move the air hole away from the coil and I get less vapor and more TH. It works this way with all gennies.
