Hi all.

I'm currently using an Aspire nautilus on an Istick 30w. It has been great so far. But today I bought a different juice (that I have used before with no issues whatsoever) and a new BVC coil (1.8). I cleaned the tank out and dried it all before putting in the new coil and liquid. Sadly, it is gurgling so much. Literally every time I vape it. So I tried upping the wattage to 11-14 and it makes little difference apart from it producing bigger clouds. Also, when I do that the tank gets very warm around the base, as does the battery.

Any idea what the problem could be? Any idea how to fix it? Is it a did coil?
Also I have primed the coil exactly as I always would (drip some liquid into the coil, none powered draws ect).

Thanks

For whatever reason, the coil head is flooded. (gurgling)

It's not a dead coil because it is still producing vapor.

Try turning your setup upside down and start vaping. Being a bottom coil tank, turning it upside down will prevent additional e-liquid from getting to the coil; and vaping it upside down should vaporize the e-liquid already in the coil.

Every time you clean and add a new coil head, make sure all the parts fit "snug", not too tight or loose.

Sounds like there was some water, condensation, or eliquid left in the chimney that has dropped down to the coil. Turn it upside down and take 2 or 3 puffs. That should clear out any excess liquid in the coils and allow any liquid in the chimney and drip tip to drain out. You may get a drop or two of liquid in your mouth doing this. Not a big deal, but not a great taste either. You may also want to poke a Q-tip or a piece of rolled up tissue down the drip tip to make sure it's dry and clear of liquids.

The Next time this happens, instead of tasting that upside juice, hold your clearo Firmly, tip down, and give it a good
wrist snap shake downward, like you'd shake a medical mercury thermometer.

That will also clear it out. Careful, whatever you shake it towards will likely have a little line of juice dots on it.

The shakedown trick works great for 'factory coiled' tanks but not so much for RTAs. :2c:
