Having had a G22 and looking at the new pictures, the only differences seem to be that the lack of vent holes on the tube and the description alludes to the bottom contact being brass but I believe the G22's have been where as the Tele was SS. Still has the spring in the top cap which is the number 1 issue people have. The actual button design appears the same, I believe it's just all brass contacts now.

This is the newest or Core version

What is issue with spring and how can I fix. Hear you drop in adjust top pin from paps?

The center pin connects to the battery via a spring. The paps pin will screw in but I have never tried it to know the length is correct. I believe there is an issue in the Tele with 18350's but I think the G22's should be fine, I have no issue using a paps adjustable pin in a g16. It looks like you could also use something like a trimmed down EA center pin and an o-ring or the correct diameter screw directly into the delrin.

if the gus fb page is legit, i spoke to gus, and was told the issue with the spring was fixed. the telescopic they are working on, and are planning to eliminate the spring. Im not sure what they will do but im guessing it will be similar to the paps telescopic pin. gus also offered to make a brushed 18650 for me at no additional cost! =] although z2 is coming out this week im going to wait and see. also would like verification on gus site and fb page..

Unless they haven't updated the pictures

Spring, since there are no holes in the tube, I assume it's an updated picture

The v2 telescope has a stainless switch. I would mess with the spring before the insulator. Springs are easy enough to come by, you screw up the insulator, you are going to be stack o-rings or searching online for a part.

Just make it lighter instead of shorter.

Thanks for the warning, I will heed to it whilst modding my gus. I got the idea to remove the ring from badinflunce357's post in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/363456-need-help-w-new-gus22-gustele-7.html in this thread, check the photo on post #65. He has had great success and seems to be a genuine person trying help gus owners out.

My spring on my gus is in bad shape. Got my gus 2nd hand and what to replace it with a screw. Going to try that 10-32 from lowes. If anyone has had any luck with a certain screw, ket me know

you are going to need to shorten the screw depending on which size tube, and battery you use. there isnt one that pops right in unfortunately. i have 2 different screws that i use for 18350, and 18500 configurations that i have modified from the original length.

Oh, sorry, I read trim the insulator instead of remove. Removing is fine but it's nice something I would tweak, well removing can be fine or moderately dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. You could also take the insulator out and pop an o-ring in that keeps the battery just above the post. Since the G22 has a brass post, you don't need to do much to the bottom unless you don't like the throw.
