Too bad that the GUS W Knight telescope WHS SS matte finish lim edition can't be bought.... Only 40 units were made...doh! :/

I'm not sure exactly what sort of alloy is used by GUS, but I get no brass smell on my hands from the accents on the Lord.
Sure it's a good quality allow, but if I see the patina on them....it'll eventually smell.
The Lord does look good but I personally don't like that smell from brass and, due to my wife's condition, she just can't tolerate that type of smells (brass, rust...)
I don't think the amount of brass is significant enough to smell.

Getting close to a Lord or Kiss order (in telescopic mode) and not quite sure what to order. I have sent emails to Gus, however they seem to answer completely different questions. Don't need a top cap with airflow and want the "best" button. All the lord/kiss units show as having the V2 button. I made the assumption that the Complete for Tele Gus new st/bb would be a better button, at least base on price. Also if ordering that one, is the fuse in the top cap or button? And is there a way to use without a fuse in 18350 or 500 mode, and does Gus include that hardware?

If I'm not mistaken, st- is slim and stainless steel& bb is ball bearings.. The v2 button is what we've all decided/voted the Lord and kiss should have.. brass accent, no slimmed lock ring, and it has the ball bearings.
Their top caps come with a 12 Amp fuse installed, and extras, like 6&8 Amp.. they are not a proprietary fuse to Gus.. But you'll have to have someone else tell you what they are called.. To my knowledge, all top caps come with various connectors for the top cap and estia in hybrid..but you can also replace the fuse pin with a nemesis, gg, and several other 510 screws...but to use the telescope in 18350, you have to use the two, rather large, brass contacts. I don't know if that is the case with normal 18350 tubes.

Seems the v2 has larger drill holes in the locking ring compared the the "new st/bb. Do you know if the new st/bb has the fuse in the button as apposed to the top cap?

That is the only switch with a fuse involved with it... the rest are normal switches.

All Gus switches are currently short throw. That change occurred sometime around mid 2013.

Brother, there are "four" kinds of Gus switches currently available in 22mm:
1. Brass button with Brass housing (like on the Lord & Kiss),
2. Brass button with SS housing (like in their all SS tube mods),
3) All SS switches, which has SS button and SS housing (like on the Knight mods) AND
4) A "Slim" line, which is 1mm shorter in size (used on Warrior & Yumina). Comes in two variants:
a) With Fuze, and
b) Without Fuse

The V2 switch has a SS housing. Will not look good on Lord and Kiss. But can be used on Knights, Warriors and Yuminas.

Thanks for the commentary as the Gus sight does little to delineate the variations. In addition I "believe" they displayed the v2 with a brass housing to confuse matters further. May be wrong about that. This however clarifies nicely.

Is the short throw a different insulator?
I actually just pulled mine out of its recess, and it's just resting on the switch..so I have a throw now..
I love the switch how it is (unless my insulator was cut short).. cuz there is NO throw to it...just a tap, and it's closed.edit-but still won't fire standing unlocked..18490 with estia or 18650 with a dripper..sure a tank would cause it to fire.
