This New years I ended up having one cigarette, before that it had probably been close to a year since I last had one, My E-cig has helped me keep from it, but the influence of alcohol made me think why not just one, It wasn't a break down or anything my mind set was just "screw it" and there were analog smokers around so that was mainly the cause. To my surprise it actually had a bit of a harder throat hit than my E-cig, I'm currently at 16mg nicotine, that's the highest I've gone up, Do you think Upping the nicotine content would make the throat hit a little harder? What would you guys recommend/ have experienced with the nicotine content? You think 24mg would do the trick? or the 36mg?

You can increase throat hits several different ways:

-increase nicotine content (so, yes to your question)
-increase the PG content of your juice
-increase voltage of your battery
-use low resistance attys/cartos

The easiest and most cost effective way is to increase the nic content. Go up to 24mg strength and see what you think. Go from there.

Thanks for the info, know of any sites that sell good low resistance cartos? Most dont really state the resistance specs right?

Yes, upping the nicotine will give more throat hit - but you don't want to OD on it either. If you want to test it out, I'd get the 36mg and maybe mix some of it 50/50 with your 16mg and see how that suits you. You may find that's enough. If not, and you can handle more without ill effect, you can use the 36mg if you need to. Good luck!

Ry024, Yes nicotine strength will in fact boost the TH. However, unless you're very careful, I'd probably not go to 36mg. That is quite high and makes it very easy to overdose. Generally, we'd say start at between 18-24mg if you were/are a fairly heavy smoker. But, it's you that has to make the final decision as to what strength you need to keep the cravings at bay.

Thanks, at first I started with 0mg then I got a few sample cartos with nicotine content, and then I experienced the throat hit, which I was un-ware had that effect as a newbie, 4mg actually had me coughing a bit from the throat hit. But now that I've been seasoned with the nicotine content I've slowly been upping it each time. and now doesn't currently seem like enough.

Boge 2.0 ohm low resistance cartos are among the favorites here. There are also dual coil cartos made by Smoketech and others that are popular. Boge LR cartos go for $7 to $8 for a box of 5. A single carto can last as long as a week if you use clear juices with a high PG content. Clear is defined as being "not cloudy". Color is less important than clarity.

Many vendors sell the Boge cartos. One is Awesome Vapor in GA.

Another is Madvapes in Charlotte, N Carolina.

Very helpful post, would you say the Dual coil cartos are better than the low resistance single ones?

I use mostly Boge 2.0 cartos, but I do like the 1.7 ohm dual coils from time to time. eGo batteries aren't supposed to be used with anything lower than 2.0 ohms, but people do it every day. I use the dual coils on my Madvapes vv box mod. It depends on the voltage you are vaping whether dual coil or standard single coil cartos are better. My eGo is a 3.4v device, so it's not as hot with either style as a 3.7v Riva or a vv mod, but it's a good vape. I hope I didn't dance around you question too much, but it's a tossup based on voltage. Either can achieve the same taste and vapor, but the DC excels at 4.0v.
