Hello, First off i am liking the e-cig (In general) and how it works.. The blu is my first one but after a week a like it so far... What I was wondering for my next upgrade is there anything better that might be black with :Dgreen LED on it? That would be cool! lol thanks any help is greatly appreciated!

My black 510 with green LED arrived a couple of days ago, and I like it okay, but I still find there are definite advantages (for me) with the blu.

But if you want a black 510 with green LED, InnoVapor sells them and their 25%-off coupon code ends tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. I actually like my blu mainly because of the PCC that comes with it.. its just so convent and from what i have read on the other PCC is that there metal and have sharp corners.. BTW just got my e-juice from totallywicked and it works much better..

Again, hit up my review of the Sidesho... same PCC, same system. More vapor, more flavor, slightly longer battery size and better battery life.

Using the same PCC system, you retain the same convenience....

Wait, are you talking about this review? I admit I only read the preliminary post, but in it you said this:

The Blu still only has one point that beats out the Sidesho (as well as EVERY OTHER e-cig on the market) and that is the fact the PCC can hold an ASSEMBLED UNIT. The Sidesho cannot do this in their own PCC, it will be as effective as a 510 PCC however with the exception being that the Sidesho PCC holds many more carts than the 510 PCC.

Has this changed?

Blu does not offer LED color choices. If you like the Blu syste, but want a bit better in vapor production, flavor and can choose battery/atty/cart colors as well as LED colors, check out the ModernVapor forum and read my review of the Sidesho.

It for sure does look like its the blu closest thing ive seen yet.. The Envy looks close as well, but envy atty and bat are inverted so non comparable.. Brings me to my next question is there anything els that might be compatible with the blu in things like using the same charger/ PCC... I mean the sidesho looks like it will but what other choices do i have for this???

No, still the same, the Sidesho cannot hold an assembled unit, but will carry the extra batt (charging) another extra batt (Blu does not) and a cart/atty plus all the extra carts, so you can carry the same amount, just have to assemble the unit.

The Volcano cig is the EXACT same thing as a Blu just renamed. The prices are similar and people have said that shipping times and customer service are pretty good through them.

I've had the Blu for a month now, definitely going to buy a Volcano battery or two so I can vape in bars and on the street without people constantly asking what it is. Nice to have options.

Hey, I just popped the grey plastic ashcap off my blu battery after fiddling with it a bit, it's not very hard at all. As far as my quick poking around could find, though, few people are replacing the LEDs because they're just too small. (Information here if you're handy with a soldering iron.) You could possibly use yellow cellophane inside the ashcap to tint the blue LED green. I'll mess with it sometime and report back. :)

(I'm already using an all-black blu setup-- glossy black battery, matte black 306a carts.)

I took the cap off mine as well.. But haven't wanted to risk my batt just yet so I haven't taken it apart.. Yellow cellophane might work didn't think of that.. I ordered the 510 from inovapor its on its way should be here this week the manual of course next is my blue upgrade depending on how i like the 510.. Rite now stainless steel sanded it down

I returned my blu almost immediately because of the wait between puffs. Got a 501 and quit smoking within 2 weeks. Would've quit sooner, but quit when the passthrough came and I didn't have to mess with the batteries while at home at the computer or watching tv. I also got a passthrough for the car. Getting a PCC pretty soon and that should round out my needs for power at all times.

Good luck,

I really haven't had any problems with my blu I get some big clouds and a lil throat hit with flavor.. And I don't really wait between puffs. still not always consistent but works good for me. But untill I try my 510 I'm not gonna talk bad about the blu not yet anyway haha.. Either way so far I'm think I will keep it around for a manual battery.

Oh, and congrats on the no analog your lil ahead of me in time frame :)

blu users, if you find you have to wait too long between puffs, it's because your cart filling is wicking liquid to the atomizer too slowly. This will happen with ANY e-cig if your liquid and cart filler aren't working well together; it just so happens that blu's clever-but-ineffective pre-filled carts have that problem out of the box.

To fix the problem, you need to replace your cart filler with something that wicks faster, and replace your liquid with something less... er... underwhelming. :)

I've had terrific success restuffing standard blu carts with both PET cut from Lipton Pyramid tea bags, and, most recently, with reticulated polyurethane cut from fish tank filter sleeves. If you check the Cartridge Mods subforum you will find lots and lots of details.

And I've been very happy with liquids from Johnson Creek (the reduced-PG ones work better for me), Intellicig (ECOpure), and Decadent Vapours. The last two are all-VG and produce LOTS of vapor.

Be aware that restuffing carts is an art. The tighter you pack the material, the slower the liquid will wick, so thicker fluids need looser packing. Pack too loosely, and thin liquids will leak. There's a lot of trial and error before things start to click.

And don't forget about gravity. Seriously, once you have your carts wicking well, just holding the cig so that liquid flows from the cart to the atomizer makes a huge difference.

I'm using the reticulated polyurethane as a filler now, and my carts drain COMPLETELY before they stop kicking out vapor. I never need to wait between puffs.
