I didn't post the code because 1) it was for users of a forum that isn't this one, so I wasn't sure it'd be appropriate, and 2) I found it after about 30 seconds with Google, so I figured anyone else who was interested would do the same.

Blucigforum.com

Oops....I just noticed I screwed up. I was tired and I didn't proof read my post. Just noticed that the link to the forum didn't get added. My original intent was to steer some attention to that forum so that people could communicate with Volcano's owners a little easier.

Sorry

I plan on getting some manual batteries and a usb pass-through from Tony at Moden Vapor. The batteries, being slightly larger, hold more charge and fit the Blu/ Volcano attys. He has more battery and LED colors coming out soon, and who wouldn't like a Blu/ Volcano pass-through to give their little L88b batteries a rest? Even with a hv mod on the way, I like my Volcano, and if playing with components can make it better, great.

Ooooooo!!! A passthrough for the L88b!!! sweet.

You say the batteries are a little larger.... are they longer or thicker? Do they work with the Volcano chargers? Longer but the same diameter, and yes you can use a Blu/ Volcano charger

I thought someone said something about there being a tiny gap between the battery and the atty when attached though. Do they fit flush? There is a bit of a gap when using sidesho batteries on a Blu/ Volcano cart and atty

Anything I can say Bandit has already said in this thread:

So check it out!

Hello all,

I just ordered my Volcano e-cig starter kit today with three of the menthol pack, 1 coffee and 1 vanilla. I have heard that Juice is much better than and wanted to know if juice can be used with the L88b Model. Also i smoke roughly a half a pack a day of analogs or Tobacco Cigs. Based on that how often will i need to replace my Atty? or clean it?

You can refill the carts, drip, dip, anything you want. Look on youtube for videos on how to refill blu carts. Its easy. Just use a paperclip to push the inner cart out of the mouthpiece and top off the cart. Or you can pull out the wadding from the inner cart, clean it with water, dry it, fill up the inner cart, replace the wadding, re-insert the inner cart into the mouthpiece and vape away.

As far as atty replacement....it depends. I busted one by dropping it, but all my original ones are still working fine. One isn't quite as hot as the first day, but it still works at about 90%. Been using it hard, daily since October 5th. I'd have extras on hand just in case one goes bust. I've never needed to clean one, but i tried cleaning the 90% one with pure grain alcohol. Didn't seem to make any difference. I figure if it lasts 2-3 months, then I got my $5 worth out of it. If it lasts longer, well thats cool too.

I just checked the site and couldn't find mention of a USB passthrough for the L88b (which is what the Blu is.) Can you provide more info on this? I, and many others, would LOVE a Blu/Volcano USB passthrough!

The passthrough he was referring to is from modernvapor I think. Volcano's PT will be coming out in a couple of weeks or so I think. Volcano had a contest a few days ago for essays with the first 7 entrys winning a free PT. There's a youtube video of one of them being tested. Don't know about the modervapor one or when it will be released.

The Volcano PT will supposedly be available sometime this week. I was one of the contest winners and received mine today. It's pretty sweet! It's as small as their e-cig and is a manual, so it produces good vapor.

So what are some differences between blu and volcano? Kind of confused if they are made by the same company. Is it just a different logo?

It's not the same company, it's the same model (L88b). Well, the same manufacturer, if that's what you mean... but re-branded by two completely different companies. This is very common in the e-cig industry... e.g. the 510 model is branded as the Dura, the Titan, and the Yeti; the KR808D-1 model is branded as the Vapor King and the Nebula; etc.

Anyway, the differences between the Blu and Volcano:
(1) The Blu has a blue LED; the Volcano has an orange LED
(2) The Blu battery is smooth; the Volcano battery has a subtle ribbed look to it
(3) Blu cartridges come in "natural" (tan filter) and black (except for menthol, which comes in white or black); Volcano cartridges come in white or black

That's about it. Volcano also offers one additional flavor: Pineapple. Volcano also seems to be more progressive on adding new accessories... e.g. they offer disposables, a car adapter, and their USB passthrough should be available next week. But since it is the same model, you could obviously buy Blu batteries and whatnot from Blu and buy additional accessories from Volcano.

The prices are also different. Volcano cartridges are cheaper, and unlike Blu, they don't make you buy a carton (5 packs) at a time.

Consumer feedback would also suggest that Volcano has faster shipping times, and better overall customer service. They also have their own forum.
