Hah! Tea Tree Oil to Remove Labels

Had some old juice that I dumped and was looking for a way to clean out the bottles. So, I thought, heck, baking soda keeps my frig smelling nice and clean, let's soak the empty bottles in a mix of about 2 tablespoons to a pint of water and soak the bottles. I let it sit overnight and there is now no smell at all inside the bottles. However, the labels did peel off, but left a sticky film on the bottles. So, I tried a little bit of Tea Tree Oil on a paper towel and rubbed the outside of the bottles with it and it took the sticky film right off the bottles with no struggle at all! I just washed the outside of the bottles with a little Dawn dish detergent and hot water. Got myself 6 almost brand new bottles to reuse

Another thing that works incredibly well for removing labels and glue is lighter fluid. The Ronsonol and Zippo stuff is usually right behind the counters at places like Walgreens and CVS.

WD-40 also works well for labels and glue.

I've used peanut butter to remove labels. Just smear it on the label and let it sit overnight.

Peanut butter is also great for getting bubble gum out of your hair, just don't ever eat it while chewing gum, very nasty.

Good 'ole oil. Olive oil, mineral oil, motor oil (for you gear heads)
