Steeping is a closed bottle sitting for awhile out of sunlight to allow components to mix fully.

There is no combustion or heat producing chemical reactions to produce water. (And it cannot draw water from the air while sealed.)

There is no fermentation going on to produce ethanol either. (No sugars for the yeast to consume in there either so even a Belgium style cannot happen in an open bottle either.)

If you want to degrade the nicotine, heating the juice up in the presence of oxygen is a great way to do that though. Some people like the bitter taste of oxidized nicotine. Most folks don't like when it gets to the fish-slime-and-copper-tingle stage though.

thanks! i was just wondering if the hydroxyl ends of the glycol would make any by products. When my juice steeps it has this bubble fizz at the top when im squeezing. any idea what it could be? i dont think its air bubbles because i dont shake the juice before i drip.
