FWIW, I found I had a problem with squonking as well and it seemed almost all the time, but more so when the bottle was almost empty. I placed a felt pad, (you can get them from any hardware store), behind the bottle to make it a little firmer when I pressed on it and that helped a lot. I have found I don't need to press as hard on the bottle and can almost vape the bottle bone dry now. Here is what I use... 3/8" Brown Felt Pads at Menards

It is my belief that wwith higher VG juices, you can squonk for a long time and even though the juice will rise up inside the RM2 to past the air hole, it will not leak out. At this point, I know everything is saturated inside and I am good to go. I squonk each and every time for about 5 seconds with good hard pressure on the bottle. Never leaks out. I would suspect that with higher PG juices, it could leak from the air hole if filled up too much inside the RM2.

I find a good 5 count is needed on a half full or lower bottle. I've gotten the hang of it now. when I first started I'd look closely and could see the juice when it reached the air hole. If was dark or I was driving I drew in air through the drip tip until I could hear or feel a slight gurgle, you also need to give it a little longer to drain back down.

hahaa haa yes Filthy your estimate is probably more realistic on how long to squonk... I posted this in the other squonk thread also... but uhm ... a while a go when I used to wash my squonk tubes before I did the cap mod I had some big syringe tubing sat here and wondered if it would be any good to squonk with.. well I must of cut a piece and then slipped my modded cap over it without realising haha .. so I been using a tube with a bigger inside diameter for a long time  was wondering why I didn't need to use my tweezers or needlenose pliers to slip the tube onto the squonk tube anymore, thought it had slackened off...

anyhow if anyone wants to try it its the tubing that comes with the 30ml syringes, I've never had juice come out the top of the tubing where it slips on the squonk tube

I think you fixed it Borescoped. I have no problem draining the bottle, it just gurgles a bit on the last 1/2 ml or so, then I know its time for a refill. Definitely longer squonk time for the lower end of the bottle. Once or twice I forgot to let go of the bottle, and the juice rose up the RM2 and all the way up the drip tip and out the top! I get the odd dry hit when I forget to squonk, sometimes I get lost in that wonderful vape and keep taking hits without thinking

This is what I went through as a total noob. Might help
- v cut is a must. it not only prevent potential blockage, but also helps with increasing the air pressure going out
- sealing at the bottle cap makes a big difference. after washing for few times, I might not re-assemble it back completely sealed. If you hear "hissing" sound while squonking, you have a leak at the cap and will have hard time pushing juice up.
- either "push-push-push" or "push~~~" works. For most part, 4 - 5 second gentle long squonk works well. However, for PG juices, I found that 4 - 5 quick squonks (without any lag between) works pretty well.
- lastly, to ensure I am not building any negative pressure in the bottle, I blow on the drip tip while covering the air hole. This injects air into the bottle and creates neutral air pressure. If you see bubbles in the bottle while doing this, you had negative pressure.

I tend to over analyse stuff, so all these might be over the top. :D
But I have been able to suck up the last drop from the bottle without any squonking issue so far.

I've never had any "half full bottle squonking woes" in my week of using the REO. Could it be because I vape 80%PG juice? I can easily get the juice up to saturate my wick even when the bottle is almost empty. And I never have to do any counting like some of you. It's an instantaneous thing. The moment I apply pressure on the bottle, my wick gets wet.

Is it different with high VG juices? BTW, I've always vaped 80% PG juice, and I wonder how high VG juice is like? More vapor? less TH?
