It's been a minute or two since I've written a review. I'd pretty much settled into Boba's Bounty as my all day every day vape. However, Alien Visions seems to be having an issue with producing product, so I knew I needed to figure out a back up.
Enter Halo, a company I had never tried in 5 years of vaping because they always tended to run high in their PG content. Since high PG liquids and I do not get along, there was really no point in me bothering to order from them. But thanks to you subohm vapers, they finally came out with higher VG mixes. So, it was finally time for me to give this old standard in the vape world a shot.
Typically I'd spend quite a bit of time with an e-liquid before committing to a review. In the literally hundreds of e-liquid I've purchased over the years it is incredibly rare that one would strongly strike my fancy from first vape. In fact, it's only happened one other time. So I'm reviewing Belgian Cocoa right now.
I paid for this with my own hard earned cash, so you can be certain I am not swayed by free product.
I'm vaping on an Ego 650 mah with a first generation EVOD clearomizer at 1.8. (Yeah, I'm old school like that!)
One thing I really appreciate about Halo's Belgian Cocoa is that there is not even a hint of artificial sucrose flavoring to it as many other chocolate type flavors tend to have. Also, no burnt flavoring to it as many other chocolate flavors had. This is a nice, strong, dark, dry vape that reminds me very much of dark chocolate. It has a touch of sweet to it, but not like milk chocolate. It's more like the creamy bite from a cocoa bar. Very pleasant inhale with just a touch of dark chocolate tart flavor on the inhale, nice creamy exhale, and fantastic room note. If you are a cocoa fan but have been turned off by high PG products, weak chocolate milk mixes, or artificial sweetener overload, this is an amazing e-liquid worthy of trying out. I also very much dig that Halo uses lot numbers and expiration dates on their bottles.
Purchase again? Yes. Boba's may have just been knocked out of the top spot.
