I was thinking the same thing just for the fact according the the description of the musty note but I'm not sure of the raw coffee note or cocoa.

I do have some FA chocolet so I'll give that a try.

taste description: Nutty, musty, cocoa, drying, peanut-like and raw coffee notes.

If you try it let us know.

It'll be a while before I get around to it, but the TetraMP doesn't smell like coffee or cocoa. It's slightly nutty and musty. It may add an extra layer of mustiness but I think a drop of the right chocolate flavor would do the trick.

I've learned so much from this thread thanks to all you mixer pioneers out there! When I first started vaping Halo was one of the first brands I ever tried, Belgian Cocoa is my absolute favorite but at $20 a pop I rarely am able to buy it. I've tried so many chocolate type flavor concentrates trying to recreate it but have not been able to get close...at all. Any help steering me in the right direction would be very much appreciated!

Hi Eagles44, I read your post about the website in France "Aqua" and I just emailed them (using what little French I know ha) asking if they ship internationally. If I hear back from them I will post here, thanks for the info!!

You are welcome MissAmerican!

They seem to be always out of stock for the Midnight Apple, Torque and Prime. But I see they also have 3 new flavors, including one for Captain Jack. It would be great if they had a Tiki Juice clone someday!

I did use 1% of AP, the 5% is just the pre diluted state, I just used the whole name in the recipe
so should I increase the Double RY4 to 11% or decrease it to 3%?

I'm not sure I would use TFA Double RY4 to get this. Perhaps try Hangsen RY1, RY3, or RY4 as your base tobacco and just add the AP at 1% as you have been doing. The "RY" types from Hangsen range from less sweet and caramel from 1 to 4, 4 being the most sweet and caramel. I don't find TFA RY4 representative of true Chinese RY4 in characteristic.

I agree that the prime is a bit more chocolaty than this recipe, even with 3% TMP. A drop of chocolate would probably do the trick. Keep trying. I don't have FA chocolate, but I have others. It may not matter much. We're 99% there.

It's not chocolate in the Prime15,it is cocoa.

I think you misunderstood.

I suggested the Hangsen T3 (555 type) at 7% as the base tobacco and the RY4 as a top note at 2 - 3% (or maybe even start at 1%). and the AP at 1%

But what your suggesting is a prime 15 clone. He's trying for Tribeca which is similar to prime but has that ry4 top note.

It's not chocolate in the Prime15,it is cocoa.

You're joking, right? If you mean to say that the flavor additive in question is "Cocoa" from Flavor Art rather than FA chocolate, then fine. You seem to know what the mystery is. Care to share?

Guys, as stated earlier, the "Chocolate" flavoring from FA tastes rather dry, which would mimick cocoa, especially when paired with tetramethyl. Try it at .25-.5% of your clone and see if it helps bring out that chocolate/cocoa note that you say is missing. Again, I've never vaped Halo's tobaccos, but I can say with confidence that they use FA Chocolate as one of the ingredients in their Belgian Cocoa, so why wouldn't they use it in their tobacco mixes?

I was only typing from memory as it was mentioned in a previous post that FA was a good candidate for boosting the cocoa note. I thought it was chocolate flavor they were referring to, but I have since double checked and FA has both a chocolate and a cocoa flavor. I have ordered the FA cocoa to test it in the recipe. I am well aware that the note is dry and cocoa. If you read my recipe post, you would have seen that. We're really just splitting hairs as the clone recipe is perhaps a fraction of a percent from being exactly like the original. We could be talking 1 drop of flavor per 15mg juice. But cocoa it is and it will be in my hands in a couple days. I'll report when I receive it.

As stated in my above post, I ordered FA Cocoa instead of the Chocolate flavor. I will order chocolate on my next run, but I'll bet the cocoa will fare just fine. Also, I haven't used Tetramethyl yet as the Trimethyl seemed much closer to the Halo profile. The recipe I have done so far is exceptionally close to Prime 15. If I smell one, I can't smell the other, which is a good indicator that they are very similar. It is only when vaping that the stronger cocoa note in Prime becomes apparent.

No i did not catch your recipe post yet,i was just skimming thru this one.As i said Prime15 has been my ADV for a year and i love the flavor, and i also DIY.I can't/refuse(No offense meant here either),if you will,to vape a clone of my ADV because it never does come close to the real thing, beleive me i have tried to clone it myself, and have failed at many, many attempts.I just skim thru other posts i see about Prime15 to see if anyone actually does get the correct mix.I did not mean for my reply to come across as mean/angry,i was just referring to what i know about Prime, that's all.I do not think we will ever get it cloned as the Halo base itself, has a very unique taste.Unless Halo ever releases the recipe,ha,ha,ha,......i do not see that in the near future. This is what sucks about DIY'ing, when you find your ADV,...you can't actually DIY it all and wind up spending more money just to make sure you never run out of it.I hope you guys can actually come up with an actual Prime15 recipe that tastes like Prime15.
