* Nice! I see they now do offer the Captain Jack flavoring!! @VAPIN8 how was the pre-mixed Capt. Jack liquid

Sorry it's been awhile since I looked at this thread. First off I am disappointed they took these halo clones off the website.
I've never had Halo's version of Capt Jack so I couldn't make a comparison. I personally didn't like the flavor, It's a hard flavor to describe.
It reminded me of a concentrate I bought from Totally Wicked when they released their gold label line called Blushin Russian, I don't think they sell it anymore.

Yes, I'm disappointed too, I didn't have a chance to order any to try yet!

Sounds like it may have been the right one, since you mentioned it tasting like TW's flavor because I think that's where Halo gets some of it's flavors, or they use similar or partner on flavors, etc. Because I know some of the TW line used to be exact matches a while back, and then they quit selling that whole lineup too. You only got the Capt Jack juice right, not the flavoring?

Chers Amis,

- nous continuerons de vendre nos e-liquides et nos saveurs sans qu'aucune de nos recettes ne soit modifiée ;

L'Equipe Nova Liquides

:) Yeah, I agree. The announcement in english is on their Facebook page also Nova Liquides | Facebook

So hopefuly soon well have them back with new names.

Here's my humble review for Nova DIY. I don't have such great taste buds or good analysis as some of you, but heres my opinion... :) I did them all at 70% PG / 30% VG, 1 week steep.

- Tribeca - amazing, very similar to the original, the closest Ive tasted, really has that specific taste from the original which isnt in the usual tribeca clone. Clear color.

- Soho - Nice sweet tabaco. light.

- Prime - I can smell odor very similar to the original, but I also feel it has more alcohol in it, when I smell it. Did it at 10%, then 15% to try to get more flavour. A light 555, really good, I can feel more cocoa or so than the original Prime and also the Aqua 555 which is also very nice (also French).

- Torque - Just like Aqua's route 66, very similar to original Torque, which isnt my favorite these days, but if you like it, you shall enjoy.

- Nova Freedom - the smell is very similar to the original one. I started at 10% and tested it after a few days, although the initial drag I felt that sweet freedom like taste, it had a soapy after taste, darker after taste than Freedom which AFAIK is sweet even after you take a hit. I increased to 15%, kept the bottle open a few days and now it's much better, the taste after the hit is a bit darker/perfumier imho than freedom .

Its hard to say because Ive tasted several "clones" (Aquas revolution which is really good also), but I think the Nova one tastes more like the original Freedom. I still want to try adding a drop of EM or AP (and smooth/magic mask) to see if I can make it sweet after I take the hit or even mix it with Aqua's revolution which has a nicer after taste... Any tips appreciated! Perhaps just more steeping will help.

The after taste is really a bit harsh, pitty as the first taste when I take a hit is great. Maybe I should try it at less than 10%...

- Nova Cap Jack - Did it at 10% and felt it had a bit of a soapy after taste. Moved to 15%. Still perfumy, when I smell the juice I can smell the alcohol and perfume. I put 2 drops of vape wizard in 30 ml and it improved quite a bit. The first hit reminds me a lot of the original one. Still a bit harsh though, wish I could make it a bit creamer on the after taste and less harsh (maybe Smooth, more vape wizard...), will do some experiments, any tips and comments appreciated.

I see it on some french sites as being sold with 50% PG/50% VG, so that might be worth a shot, as well as less %, etc...

- Robert

EM is not a good choice to bring out sweetness. Try adding regular sweetener instead and don't go above 1% or your coils will gunk. AP will give it a nuttyness and not add sweetness, Smooth and magic mask is a lot like EM it will meld together flavors and act as a masking agent giving the mix a muted taste so that's not what you want either. As far as harshness first vape just your base with no flavoring. If you have harshness then you need to fine tune your base. Follow my blog to do this.

How to adjust your base to reduce that peppery harsh Nicotine taste | E-Cigarette Forum

After you get your base right if you still have harshness then reduce flavoring. I notice the nova torque has that same harshness on inhale which halo torque does not have and reducing percentage helped with that.

Very nice reviews. I found the prime a little light on nuttyness but had that hard to duplicate chocolate mustyness which other 555's don't have. This mustyness seems to be a signature of most halo offerings (Torque, tribeca, captain jack) and what I miss with the other clones. I've tried so hard to duplicate it and have come close but never exact. I make a prime clone which I actually prefer over the nova prime which has been my ADV for over 2 years.

Anyone that bought Nova Cap. Jack? If so, agree with me on the aftertaste is not the best? Its like a chemical, kind of candy like after taste...

Hoping someone can help tweak it, and will follow Danny's tips also. I thought of adding some vanilla maybe, something to make the aftertaste be richer...

Tks.

OK so I made an account on the Nova Liquide's website and I am now able to purchase their products / see the prices of everything. Their flavorings are EXTREMELY expensive. 10ml is $52!!! That is no where near worth buying IMO---might as well buy Halo's juice straight up--you'll save money lol.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the French descriptions were actually calling out 20 bottles of 10ml for the $52--that was for premixed with nicotine.

Hi, GOne3uo6

Careful, they sell the ready made liquid AND the DIY. What I believe you want is DIY.

The nova site is more for resellers, not for direct sales. There are other shops abroad that sell their DIY (see this thread, suggest you read from older to newest), but none of them AFAIK ship to USA. Vappora seems like only choice and they dont have the DIY online yet, as they rename the liquids, etc, you can email them asking.

Regards

Yeah I figured that out after a closer inspection of the website and some Google translating. I didn't know they don't ship to US. What is AFAIK?
