What you have to understand is with other recipes here. They use T5 or highway that already has lots of AP in it. tobacco absolute has no AP. so 4% is the perfect amount to get that nutty taste without it tasting like corn chip or burnt popcorn. Just make sure the mix is fully steeped. 3 - 4 hours in a UC or 3 - 4 weeks natural. I gave it a 3 hour steep in the UC and then let it sit an additional week and have been vaping it for 3 days now and I haven't changed my opinion about it. It is still a great vape.

Danny,

I've read this entire thread. Got all excited when I realized I could get TW concentrate to make prime 15 then found out the patriot line went away. I'll say, this was like watching desperate housewives or something. Drama excitement, disappointment, hope ....

My question for you sir ...

You switched from jangsen T5 to highway pretty abruptly and that's about where you ended it up until the tobacco absolute post. Do you still consider your Highway variation to be a pretty solid clone?

Thank you for the work you did. My nose and taste buds would have never figured it out. I appreciate you sharing with us all your findings.

yes,

The manufacture is Hangsen. T5 and Highway will give you a very solid clone. I think T5 is closer then highway as far as prime goes.

I bought some tobacco absolute and was experimenting with it and I came up with something that will knock your socks off. It's a cross between prime 15 and torque 56. This stuff blows me away. I actually like it better then both prime and torque.

75pg/25vg/18mg base
7% tobacco absolute (If you use TFA's thick tar TA dilute 2 large drops in 10ml PG and use that as your concentrate)
4% AP
4% hangsen cocoa
2% MTB (Methylbutyraldehyde 1%)

If you want it more towards the torque side add 1% hangsen vanilla. Susprisingly it won't add a vanilla taste but will add a thicker body to it. (Must be hangsen vanilla)

Forget prime forget torque this is my new ADV. I think this is a mix halo is going to wish they had.

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to duplicate a halo flavor this is my own creation and it's awesome. I haven't been this excited about a mix in a long time.

Got to try this!

I have everything I need to try this recipe except the hangsen cocoa. I do have FlavourArt Cocoa and TPA Cocoa essence. The TPA cocoa essence is a VERY small bottle. My question is, are these stronger or weaker than hangsen cocoa? I'm trying to decide what percentage to use and which cocoa. This recipe sounds like something I'd enjoy

Use this recipe:

7% TA
3% AP
1% MTB
3% FA Cocoa

Taste it every few days because the taste will change. When the taste stabilizes then adjust it. I've reduced all ingrediance by 1% except the TA. because I found the Tobacco flavor did fade after time.

I also found that a better recipe a prime 15 was:

7% hangsen arabic
2% AP

Just want to make sure before I order. This is the closest you came to Prime.

7% hangsen arabic
2% AP

Does this give it the cocoa note that is needed.

Yes it does and has a little less of a musty note then prime has. Found it to be a very good substitute.

@dannyv45 - i rec'd the fixins for the prime15 clone this week. i have never had the prime15, so had nothing to compare it too, butButBUT this is a good concoction! i didn't let it *steep* but have tried each day after the initial mix and like it better with each vape.

it reminds me of a cig with a touch of caramel. the baccy is strong. it's a win for my tastes and thanks soSoSO much for sharing/posting this.

Thank you I'm glad you like it. It's a favorite for me as far as a prime clone. I've tried T5, Highway and used flavor molecules and absolutes and came up with many different versions of prime and many have tried my concoctions and there have been many different positive opinions on my mixes. As far as simplicity this is by far the simplest and as far as I'm concerned best suited for my taste.
