I am thinking the Halo G6 will be a good starter for me, any thoughts on this?

What are your smoking habits like? How much, how often do you smoke?

Light smokers probably do well with KR808s, and Halo is an excellent company. Heavier smokers or people that don't want to charge or have multiple batteries with them go with something a bit larger with longer battery life, but the KR808 is a good pv.
Rule of thumb is about 1 hour- 100 mah on a battery with continous vaping.

Yes it's a good starter kit. As said above it's basically the same as the Volt and also Bloog, except for the juice that comes with it and Halo is very well regarded for liquid.

If you can stand to go larger there are better choices imo that will give you longer run times in between charges but if you're looking for something cig sized it's among the best choices.

I usually recommend manual batteries (easier to get a good hit and that model's manuals are fully sealed on the end so as safe as possibly from being damaged or killed by juice leaks).

SmokelessImage is offering some new design leak-resistant auto batteries for people to try out but I did not see any kits yet with those.

These are all compatible with each other - Bloogplanet Maxxfusion, SmokelessImage Volt, Halocigs G6

And they can also use the cartos from vapor4Life (the more original style of KR808D-1 - Vapor4Life model is more like the original manufacturer style of KR808D-1 and V4L claims a custom longer safety cutoff on these - you can take up to a 10 second drag vs 5 second for the others like G6 and Volt. The V4L manuals still have a hole but it looks like it is sealed inside). With Vapor4Life WOW cartos I recommend a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece (top coil, hotter vapor, bigger hit, but less easy drag)

And for any - I do not recommend the short/65mm batteries because as soon as you try one standard/78mm one (makes 120mm ecig) you will realize you want the longer charge all the time.

How big is your budget? How willing are you to tinker with stuff to have a better experience? If you answer BIG to both:

Perhaps you want to look at a 510 kit + kanger cartomizers + maybe a kGo battery (make sure your 510 charger will work with this, if not, get the right charger) + 5V 510 Passthrough + 1.5~1.7~2.0 ohm atomizers + 2.5 ohm atomizers + drip tip + e-juice of choice OR 50PG/50VG Unflavoured nic juice (generic PG or VG if you're doing 0mg) and flavour extract + seringe with low gauge and high gauge (ie: 14 gauge and 20 gauge)

I basically did this minus kGo battery and I went PG/VG route. Prepare to pay 100~150$ for all of the above

At this point I am using one Vapor4Life battery, one original manufacturer gold-button battery (like Vapor4Life but with the shorter non-custom cutoff), and one SmokelessImage Volt battery, all manuals. I mostly had used Vapor4Life WOW cartos (very hot lotta hit and can burn your lips if you don't use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece) and currently trying a Bloogplanet carto (like SmokelessImage cartos) - very nice - not as hot but a nice big easy hit. Whichever you get I recommend you try both kinds of cartos. Vapor4Life has some interesting sample packs of cartos (I recommend the WOW Tobacco Shop sampler with WOWBoy in it) - good way to try a bunch of their juices (they also sell the juices as well as a delrin drip tip you can use in place of the endcap as a cool mouthpiece - but don't drip liquid into it - those cartos have an open central air channel).

nster a 510 kit is a slim little ecig with the same charge and less voltage than Halocigs G6. If you are talking about a big battery model then you should state that more clearly because a 510 is no better than a KR808D-1.

It depends on what he wants... If he wants to have a "going out" e-cig, a mini 510 would do great! I was however, referring to the longer ones (280mAh and the like)
