new member here, been using Halo's G6 batteries for a couple weeks now with great success. after reading some reviews about other cart manufacturers out there I thought I would expand my horizons a bit.

1: I'm just wondering if anyone has had good success with other carts such as Boge or others? Which ones specifically? Are these going to give me any better performance (TH, Vapor production) than the Halo version?

2: Halo says their batteries are KR808's. almost everyone out there says their carts are for KR808 D-1, do these fit/work (same specs, thread, ect) with the Halo G6's or do I need to find a specific "KR808" cart supplier?

thanks.

KR808D-1 threaded is what Halo G6, SmokelessImage Volt, Bloogplanet MaxxFusion (and they are identical new style KR9808D-1 threaded PVs, a bit different from the original manufacturer model but use the same cartos). There are also Vapor4Life aka V4L ( more like the original manufacturer model but with a custom 10-13 second cutoff so they allow very long drags) and they have the most prefilled cartos as well as blanks. There is Cigeasy Elite 808 (and they have cartos there) and the standard manufacturer KR808D-1. And you can use any KR808D-1 cartos that are 2.5 to 3 ohm with 2.5 being the hotter end of that range. I know Bloogplanet and Volt (and maybe Halo) are 2.6v. The Vapor4Life WOW ones may be 2.5v. So you are already at the hot end of what you can use. Anything lower ohms is not for slim batteries.

I use Bloogplanet blanks, V4L WOW blanks (and 2 WOW juices from there), and also picked up some Kanger 2.6ohm horizontal coil blanks.

BTW what a 2-piece ecig uses is called a cartomizer aka carto. Some vendors that only sell one model just call them carts but if you ever shop somewhere with multiple models you need to know they are cartomizers which we abbreviate here as cartos.

Do you find that a blank carto from one vendor is the same as another, or are some better than others? have you tried the horizontal kanger ones yet? results? Thanks.

Somewhere out there
I have tried several different types of cartos and each maker seems to be a bit different. For Halo G6 I have never tired another carto but Halo's. Now for the 510 I have tried quite a few and they are different at least the ones I tried, resurrecters, Boge LR, I also tried Halo 501 cartos and some from GLV, they are all different. For 510 I have to say my favs are resurrecters and Boge LR. bnrk

Only if they are using the same exact cartos and I believe Bloogplanet and SmokelessImage ARE using the identical horizontal coil cartos around 2.6 ohms. And I think (not sure) G6 may be using the same ones. vapor4Life uses different ones - not horizontal coil, vapor usually a bit hotter with those WOW carto (coil closer to the mouth end and your lips will appreciate a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece. I was unimpressed with Boge 3 ohm KR8 cartos - not warm enough after those others I listed. I found some Boge 2.7ohm which should be good but have not tried them yet. And I have some Kanger 3.7ohm horizontal coil which look similar to the Bloogs but may not be identical.

So far the Bloog (which should be same as SI for sure) have the stuffing that absorbs most easily and are bit more resistant to leaking. They have a smaller air channel than V4L to seem to give a bigger drag easier than V4: and use juice faster.
