Halo G6 Review:
Link to Halo --> Electronic Cigarette by Halo

blue_7.jpg

A little about me... I have been vaping for about 2 years and have used the following devices:

Joye 510
eGo and eGo tank
Super T S6 and Super T Precise
GG Slim
Puresmoker Prodigy
Blu, Volcano, Smoke 51, and a few others I am sure...

The juice used for this review is Halo Tribeca 24mg (came in the carts and I have several 30ml bottles of the stuff)

I am a heavy vaper and generally use between 4 to 5 ml per day...

Ordering, Shipping and Customer Service: (note: I paid full price for the kit)

Easy ordering... The website is top notch and the checkout system is easy...

All items were shipped the same day and arrived within 3 days to the west coast (California)..

Jay at Halo is TOP NOTCH! He responds to all inquiries fast (even on Sunday) and he is very knowledgable, courteous, and friendly....

Overall experience is: 10/10

The G6 Starter Kit:

The packaging in gorgeous... The best I have ever seen! The instructions are awesome and again some of the best I have ever seen... (note: There is a misprint in the instructions. It says the light on the USB charger will turn blue when the battery is charged. This is incorrect. When the battery is screwed into the USB charger the tip lights up blue.. When the battery is charged the blue tip turns off)

I ordered the manual 78mm batteries and the Tribeca cartomizers in 24mg....

The kit comes with 2 batteries of your choice and you have the option of manual, automatic, or one of each.. You also have the option of Standard (78mm) or Mini (65mm).. The kit also comes with 5ea pre-filled cartomizers (flavor and nic strength are your choice), 2ea blank cartomizers, a wall charger, a USB adapter, the instruction manual, and that awesome looking Halo Tin...

Overall experiance is: 9.5/10 (docked half a point for the misprint in instructions)

G6 Batteries:

They have a very nice texture to them and appear to be of the highest quality. The manual button on the batteries is not cheap plastic, it's rubberized and has an awesome feeling to it...

1st charge the instructions say to charge for a full 8 hours, vape for 20 min then charge for an additional hour... I followed the instructions to the letter...

Additional charges take anywhere between 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours... I'd say a 3 hour average to recharge once the battery is depleted....

The battery, once fully charged, lasts me about 3 to 4 hours of heavy use... (again, I am a heavy vaper and use between 4 and 5 ml per day)

Towards the end of the battery charge life, you will notice a slight drop off in vapor and throat hit.. The vapor and throat hit remain strong for about 95% of the battery charge life...

The batteries have a very consistent 5 second cut off...

Overall experience is: 10/10 (battery life is pretty awesome all things considered)

Cartomizers:

The cartomizers come in a 5 pack and have a very nifty hard plastic case.. (love it)...

They are very easy to refill (I refill with about .50ml of juice) and I have been getting about 5-7 refills per cartomizer...

No nasty filler or atty taste, even when I run it dry... The vape is warm, smooth, and has a very easy draw to it...

The vapor is above agerage for an e-cig this size, and the throat hit is way above average for an e-cig this size... (I vape Halo Tribeca 24mg)

The flavor of the juice coming through these is INCREDIBLE! I think I am tasting Halo juices the way they were intended for the 1st time...

Overall experience is: 10/10

Bottom Line:

This is hands down the best kit on the market! If you are new to vaping or are a long time vaper who is into using cartomizers, this kit is for you!!!

It's not just for beginners either...I have been vaping for 2 years and have used some of the most sought after mod's....

This kit ROCKS!

It's now my main e-cig... I have ordered an adapter so that I can use the cartomizers on my eGo batteries and will report back on that...

Would love anyone that can confirm these are Volt/Bloog batts and whether the cartos are horizontal coil Volt/Bloog cartos.

The are horizontal cartos and based on an image I saw the manual batteries appear to have the same button as the Bloog. The batteries have an almost rubberized feeling matte finish, which is REALLY nice. I absolutely LOVE this kit and what sets it ahead of similar KR808D-1 kits is the unique packaging (tin and that carto case) and the thorough instruction manual. This is, hands down, the best kit for newbies due to ease of use, very high quality and instructions that tell them how to re-fill cartos and even how much liquid to use.

I can only assume these are the same as bloog/volt, and agree 100% with you about them not being just for beginners... I have some halo prime carts, and g6 manual battery's this week, just because i can't pass up prefilled halo carts lol.

I do not believe they are the same batteries or carts as the Bloog... Similar, but not the same.... The parts are interchangeable though I do believe... (ie.. Halo cart on Bloog battery or Bloog cart on Halo battery)

The cartos at 2.4-2.8 seem kinda on the cooler side, but the price seems reasonable to givem a try.

The vapor is really warm but the cartomizer doesn't get as hot on the outside as the atty on my 510 T gets. I honestly can't say enough about the quality of the G6 kit. That quality involves everything from the kit and performance right down to the packaging and instructions. Fast shipping and great customer service, too. I think if someone bought this kit first they might not ever feel the need to buy another one...it really is that good.

I noticed the batteries are dif connecters than volt/bloog.... still 808 thread, but seem like different machining, i find they perform roughly the same with no winner. the g6 is a quality P.V hands down.

I really love the finish of the G6 batteries, and the packaging and instructions. The only change I would make (not really a change) would be to offer additional kit options. Like one with extra cartos and the sample pack of juice and/or a PCC.

I think they already have a PCC but they don't have an image yet. There is a really nice PCC you can find that will charge two batteries at once and hold 6 cartomizers. You can get it in a black or red leather cover or plastic cover. Just search KR808D-1 XLPCC and you should be able to find it. I've seen a couple of places have it for just under $20 but I can't recall where it was.

Shannon, thank you. I was thinking of ordering my friend an ego, but she's an absolute virgin to this and doesn't need any fiddling. I think I have decided I'll order her one of these with some tribeca and Malibu prefilled carts and a bottle of each juice.

You're welcome...I really do think the G6 is the perfect newbie kit. It's the least likely to have any issues starting out that can discourage newbies.

I got mine in today and started the 8 hour countdown on first charge around 2 hours ago. I chose the red. This red will knock your socks off! I have an adapter (901 to 510) that seems to fit perfectly but I thought the G 6 is 808 compatible not 901.... I'll have to look again but pretty sure it's going to fit. The cartos: I chose the Tribeca *my fav* in 24 mg. The carrying case for the cartos is going to come in real handy. I've been a Halo customer for a while now and never been let down. These are so sleek and stylish and the price was just right. If I like this as much as I think I will I plan on getting a black one pretty soon.

I can only assume these are the same as bloog

I have the Bloog Maxx Fusion and a nice new shiny G6 and yes they are the same. I read somewhere (think it was one of the other places ;-)) that they were the same and confirmed it myself. Best part about it is that now I can get all my shopping done at one site, and even save a few dollars on replacement parts due to better pricing at Halo. Not sure if anybody did it yet but here is the link:
