Hi all,

I had ordered Halo's Kringle's Curse hoping to find the right amount of mint throat hit. Although it does give me that throat hit which i desire the taste to me is absolutely unvapeable on it's own!

It's very hard to explain the experience when i vape this stuff and what i am trying to accomplish, but i will try to explain...

It was described to me as a candy cane type of juice flavor which is what i was hoping for but what i get is nothing even remotely close to a candy cane. It is waaay too bitter. There is no sweetness to it at all. Tastes almost medicine like to me. I seriously doubt steeping it will turn it into a sweeter peppermint candy taste.

Good:

- smells good
- Produces more than enough vapor
- Throat hit is right on

Bad:

- Definitely has that peppermint flavor but it is not sweet tasting at all
- Almost a medicine type of rubber taste and reaction when i vape this stuff

Now my question is how can i salvage this juice? I was thinking to mix it with something to try and get rid of that rubbery flavor and sweeten it by 10x since it is so bitter tasting.
What can you recommend me to use to sweeten this flavor so that i can actually get an almost sweet candy cane type of flavor and get rid of the bitterness?

Please help ECF!

I sweeten it with Halo's Subzero. The SZ sweetens it somewhat and rounds it out. I love these two juices combined. I add a small amount of SZ to the Kringle's right in my vivi nova tank. Hope that helps.
Edit: I noticed some bitterness with my second purchase of KC. First purchase was sweeter so perhaps this second one (the one I had to sweeten) is fresher and needs to steep some.

so, a local B & M near me sells an all natural sweetener Vapors | Electronic Cigarettes and Supplies. The owner, or at least one of the workers, is a food scientiest by trade. I don't work there, or get paid by them to advertise. I use 2 to 3 drops in a 10ml bottle of eJuice and it sweetens right up.

May i ask though? Did you also find the KC to be somewhat bitter and mediciny/rubbery?

If you did and you found that the SZ did change it somewhat i may have to try that, However if you already did not find the KC to be what i am experiencing as everyone has different pallettes, i would like to hear some more opinions before i decide to do this lol.
I am trying to minimize expenses as much as possible.

But i am definitely open to all ideas.

Part of my lowering my expenses on all things vaping is to also not waste this juice by dumping it lol.

Yeah, I got some bitterness with this second bottle (separate purchase) and was surprised by it. First bottle was sweeter and really yummy and thats why I mixed this second bottle with the SZ. I'm hoping that it will get sweeter as it steeps. I don't get the rubbery/medicine thing but that could also mean that it needs to steep. All my Halo juices get better with steeping. When I first open them I get a chemical/perfumey odor. Some more than others but it goes away after steeping and they get sweeter too. I leave the caps off two days to evaporate that odor and then let them sit for a week or two. If I can't wait for them to steep, I put them in my Vivi nova tanks and vaping seems to steep them quicker. I think the liquid gets "cooked" in the tank by the heat. One juice I am struggling with is the HX3 from Halo. It is awful to me with a weird grape/pineapple mentholated taste and it has a super pungent smell. I'm trying to think of ways to fix it as well. LOL. I'm really enjoying mixing my Halo flavors though. Belgian Cocoa mixes great with Malibu, their tobaccos and mints and the Malibu with SubZero is awesome to me. Yesterday, here on ECF I read how some people cut their more expensive juices with lower priced juices like from Mt. Baker. Gonna try that too to keep expenses down. Also VaporBank (a Halo reseller) puts out great sales on Halo juices every now and then. Check the "Deals and Steals" thread here on ECF. You can subscribe and get notified.

Best peppermints I've had (and I hated Kringles Curse):
WordupEcig Peppermint
Gingers Ejuice Peppermint
The Vapor Room Peppermint

I've moved on to creamy mints now. :)

May i ask?

What is considered a creamy mint and what type of flavour do you expect from them?

I am a little intrigued by this. I have tried a chocolate mint also and it taste like mint chocolate rolled up in mud. It's a bit harsh for me.

I could definitely be interested in... Have you ever had a McDonald's Shamrock Shake? So refreshing! i want that in a vapeable form but not over the top chocolatey. I could definitely get into some of that.

lol.
