Halo Mini Reactor

Hi All,

New to using tanks and mods. Picked up a halo mini reactor and everytime I go to refill it after I close the top it leaks out of the air flow control.

This is what I got - Reactor Mini

Anyone have experience with this? I've tried closing the air flow and opening. Seems to have the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a new coil? Also are you sure the coil in there is fully screwed down?

Yep, switched out to a new coil as well. Was thinking it could be flooded or maybe when I close the top the pressure is pushing the liquid out. It just leaks abit and then stops.

Is it a top fill? If so making sure the air flow is shut/closed off before filling should help.

You could try "burping" it. I know of this only from reading about it for another tank I have, but never needed to do it. Essentially close the airflow, fill the tank, screw the top back on but not all the way, leave like one half turn. Flip the tank, open the airflow and screw the top on completely. That should allow the pressure to equalize. Close air, flip upright, open air, and pray all is dry.

I am so happy none of my tanks require me to go through all that.

Thanks, I'll give that burping thing a try. Does anyone know if I can switch tanks? Not sure how universal these are.

It appears that the reactor has 510 threads, so any tank should fit.

I believe the Reactor mini us a rebranded iStick 40W. You can use any number of tanks that will work well up to 40W.

So I tried the burping and it seemed to work but this morning when I had it in my pocket it leaked again. Just not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its defective. Spoke with customer service and they said I should keep it disconnected when not in use and that it should be kept with the mouth piece facing down. Seems abit of a pain to always disconnect it. I've uploaded an image of the tank disconnected.

Why is my reactor Tank Leaking? How to re-fill reactor vape tank to prevent leaks?

If your rector or Tracer Mod Tank is leaking, please follow the following steps. Below is the correct process to fill your reactor and tracer tanks.
1. Close the Airflow Vent
2. Remove Cap from Tank
3. Fill the tank with VG Juice about ¾ of the way full.
4. Wipe off any excess juice from the cap area
5. Once filled, reattach the tank’s cap by lining up the threads and slowly twisting clockwise until snuggly fastened.
6. Turn Tank Upside down (mouthpiece facing down)
7. Open Air Vents
8. Tank is ready to use


Have you tried this method? It's possible there is some unseen damage where the coil screws down into the base. If that's the case, a Uwell Crown II with .8ohm coils could be a great alternative.

Thanks, I saw that same post. Had the same issue. Will the Uwell fit into my tank? Dumb question but are coils universal?

Not universal. There are a couple Kanger and Uwell coils that fit multiple tanks, but sadly not all coils are interchangable. You'd have to pick up the tank as well as the coils, but I believe it will work on your mod.

Are you in NYC? You could go down to Cloud99 on 2nd ave in the East Village or Lucky Panda down in the LES. Been to both and they have extremely helpful staff.

Welcome and glad you joined. Your mod is just fine. Sub ohm'g on a tank is tricky,I would look into non sub ohm coils if available.

checked all the o rings and they seem to be in place. Was careful not to over-tighten them.

I guess the question is... what have Halo sold you, because there is a 100% certainly it's a re-logo'd version of something we can all buy without paying the Halo premium.

That's how this game works. Lucky you didn't buy Vaporfi.

I may just change out the tank then. Any suggest a dependable tank that I could possibly reuse my coils in? Also does everyone detach the tank when they put it in their pockets? Or with the mouth piece facing down so the coils don't get flooded?
