I have recently quit smoking with the new blu+ kit. I have tried quitting with the old kits and they were terrible( not enough vapor) and there I go, back to the smokes again for several years. The new kit did it for me haven't had a smoke in about a month. Now I can't stand the way analogs smell or taste. But one big problem. The prefilled tanks are killing me. For instance, I go through a 3-pack refill in two days. That's 16.04 every two days?! What?! That's 56$ a week! Needless to say it was time to move on and I ordered me a triton tank system. I've heard great things about it. Especially how noob-friendly it is. But I do have to give blu props for making a good enough product (finally) to get me to quit, however it's a rich mans vape that's for sure. Triton comes tomorrow!

Good for you! :)

The Triton should work out so much cheaper and maybe more satisfying too.

The kit I bought first charged $31.50 for 5 cartomizers. I chain-vaped (non stop, 16 hours a day) and still got cigarette cravings. I also needed a team of 4 batteries in almost constant recharge. That first year would have cost me $5,000.

If you have quit with Blu+ (it's a non-refillable tank?) then the Triton should match it or better. Some of the products on the market are terrible value. We have a new product in the UK that costs $14 for 2 ml of liquid in a non-refillable.

If I vape 2ml a day (which is about right) this would cost me $5,000 a year as well.

Yeah the brand new kits that just came out do produce a nice amount of vapor. In comparison to the gas station brand cigs-likes. But I do agree the flavors are very dull and you only have 4 options with the refills. They kinda have a chalky taste. Anyways I'll probably just remember them as an expensive bridge I crossed to get away from the stinkys.

yes it's a non refillable tank. Which makes me even more ready to experience this eliquid vape world. I ordered a tobacco sampler pack and a big bottle of twisted Java ( love coffee ) from halo to start off. I am worried about getting different liquid because halo doesn't disclose there pg/vg ratio. And if I'm gunking up coils with higher vg blends. Just seems kinda redundant (replacing coils left and right). Wish they would disclose there blend. But I get it.

Yes, prefilled cartos are about the most expensive way to vape there is, especially as the cigarette equivalency is often massively overstated.

Just for info, can you tell us how many cigs a day you smoked, and how many cigs a 3-pack of refills is supposed to equate to, please? Thanks.

Yes. I was a pack a day smoker for about 15 years. And always had 2 or 3 left for the morning. The "tanks" as they now call them. Are supposed to be the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes each tank. But it really isn't. Only if I LIMIT myself all day would it even last close to a full day. I would still need to put on a new one for a little night time puffing.

... there is no legal requirement for how many puffs or how much nicotine a cigarette must produce. Blu could say one tank does 500 puffs and that is therefore 50 cigarettes. Nobody is going to stop them. Most of the companies have been overstating the puff count for years and the nicotine yield is even worse.

Vapestick UK claim their new tank is 600 puffs. 600 puffs from 2.4ml of liquid, of which at least 0.5ml is unusable. If 1.9ml is supposedly 600 puffs, then only a machine can produce those results.

OK so you smoked about 18 cigs a day.
Three of Blu's cartos lasts you 2 days, so equate to 18 x 2 = 36 cigs for you.
So 1 Blu carto = 36 / 3 = 12 cigarettes.

That's pretty good by carto standards as they usually work out to about 6 cigs per carto in the real world. Guess these are new XL cartos or something.

Thanks for the info.

Yes it is pretty good like I said the old blu kits never did it for me. The new ones are not stuffed with filler. Basically it's their closed in version of the halo g6. There supposed to be longer lasting ,for instance the old ones came in 5 refills for 9.99. And the new come in three. 14.99. But overall I think they finally made a good product but still too expensive for me. Being able to fill my triton12 times for a 19.99 bottle of halo liquids just seems more like a bargain to me.

The Triton battery is 808/ego threaded. Most devices are 510 or 510/ego threaded. Therefore, there are only a few devices that will fit.

First the Triton tank is almost the same as a Kanger T2. Any Kanger T2 will screw onto a Triton battery (leaves a slight gap), but the Triton tank will not fit on a 510/ego battery. Any Kanger T2 replacement head will fit the Triton tank. Here's a cheap source.

Kanger T2 Sunfire 1.7-1.9ohm Clearomizer / Cartomizer - VapingME.com
Kanger T2 Sunfire 70mm Long Wick Replacement Atomizer Coils 5-Pack - VapingME.com

For other devices, try Smokeless Image...they sell a similar battery and have other toppers that will fit the Triton.

I used these types of batteries for almost a year, and my wife has been using T2s for 2 1/2 years. The Triton is not a bad starter. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. It's good to have options. I'll take all the advice I can get.
