I recently had a chance to try out Halo's new e-lquid, Southern Classic and thought I would share my thoughts with everyone.

Here is what Halo says about their new juice:

Enjoy the comforts of Southern living with this uniquely smooth, light tobacco blend. Built on a light tobacco base, Southern Classic is adorned with hints of honey, citrus and cloves, then topped off with a smooth Madagascar Vanilla. The unique blend of these premium ingredients offers a single indistinguishable flavor that is lightly sweet and very smooth.

First off, this one needs a few days to steep. Caps off for 24 hours, back on, shake, sit for another day or so. If not, you might miss this unique and satisfying new tobacco.

I know I nearly dismissed it the first day, because all I got from it was "cough drop." The clove and citrus hit you hard with notes of medicine. So let it air out overnight, and the next day or so you'll taste it's true delight.

As with Halo's other new offering, Voodoo, Southern Classic is a light tobacco with more prominent notes taking the forefront. There is the sparkle of lemon, lime and orange zest blended with clove and honey with a sweet, creamy vanilla note on the inhale. The exhale brings it all together, with the citrus up front. It's more of a candy citrus like those long slabs of translucent fruit hard candies one finds at the supermarket checkouts. But, like Halo's Voodoo, the flavor changes periodically, the candy becoming fizzy like soda pop, or when mixing with the vanilla almost an orange creamsicle.

The sweet tobacco and clove spice up the tongue and help deliver a satisfying throat hit. Vapor is on par with Voodoo, and more intense than some the more prominent tobacco flavors they carry. If you return to the room you were vaping in, the aroma might remind you of cookies or spiced bread baking in the oven.

Southern Classic delivers a unique, refreshing tobacco blend that will intrigue you while it satisfies. It's light, sweet and remarkably not very tobacco-y. If you enjoy candies and sweet breads, you will not want to pass up on Halo's Southern Classic.

Good review,

I just got my sample today, will probably try it this weekend

Do you know if this will work in clero, I don't need glass based on citrus here do I?

It's safe to use this in your clearo. Halo always makes certain their juices work well in their own devices, and they only have plastic/polycarbonate tanks.

Jef>do you also steep Tribeca? If so, about how long?

Nice review of this one, will put it on my list for next Halo order.

I haven't tried it yet. But every juice could benefit from a minimum 24-48 steep. There was a thread recently in the general eliquid forum about someone who didn't care for Tribeca after hearing all of the hype about it. Then one day he shook it and tried it again and it was amazing for him. Many folks forget to shake their liquids. It helps keep the liquid mixed. I shake mine daily, and again just before I fill my device.

I find Halo is definitely one of those juice that grow on you the more you vape. I have also found delivery system & atomizer/voltage variances makes a huge difference. I could not stand Voo Doo using 1.8 ohm Evod with 3.7 evod battery. However in a Vivi Nova with a 2.4 ohm @ 4.4 volts on an MVP its wonderful!!

Does this juice taste nutty at all?

I discern no "nuttiness" at all in this. The clove is stronger than any tobacco notes, and that bakery aroma afterwards is more cookie/bread like, but not nutty. The citrus elements and vanilla are upfront, and the clove and tobacco are middle to back, but it's a sweet tobacco, not nutty or 555-type.

Don't keep us in suspense -- what're you liking about it? Share, please :)

The taste and performance. :p

Seriously, to me this juice is a delicious symphony of flavor, and (after several days' steep) it is nigh impossible for me to single out any one flavor note (although I do get a tiny linger of clove and citrus on the exhale). It just works for me!

I must say that I would not even classify this juice as a "tino", but perhaps only a tino.
