The T3S is a bottom coil clearomizer. The wicks are at the bottom, not the top. Since they wick from the bottom the wicks are very short.

The T3S is a bottom coil clearomizer. That's why you can't see the wicks as easily as in the second picture. In the first picture of the T3S, if you look all the way at the bottom of the clear tank (right below where it says .4ml) you'll see a little bit of the wick poking out.

As the name implies, the removable atomizer head and wicks are in the bottom of the TS3, while in the other picture it's at the top.

As far as vaping experience goes, the main differences are that top coil clearomizers will give you a warmer vape and they're easier to fill (because you just unscrew the top). With the bottom coil clearomizers you'll get a cooler vape, and it's a little more annoying to fill, BUT there's less of a chance of getting dry hits. (This is because... well, gravity is a thing.)

I hope any of that made sense to you. ;) If not, just ask. Most people on this forum are extremely helpful and supportive.

It has a wick and junk, you just can't see it with the tank assembled.

The Kanger T3S is a bottom-coil clearomizer. The coil head/wick assembly attaches to the base in the bottom of the tank. The head has two tiny white wicks, one which you should be able to see in the pic above if you look closely between the two plastic rings. The replacement coil head screws into the tank base.

All clearomizers function and perform pretty much the same. They use silica string as the wick medium. Some are top coil (with the larger easier to see wicks), and some are bottom coil (appear to have no wicks, but do). Some are single coil (Kanger T3S, Kanger Protank 2) and others are dual coil (Kanger Protank3, Innokin iClear, Aspire clearomizers).

Thank you for the help, it means alot !!! you guys make me feel so welcome here :p
1 more question - which one is easier to maintain / replace parts on?

I have 2 T3S tanks, and a MT3S, which is the same thing but with a metal sleeve on it, so I have a bunch of coils for them; I got 6 of them washed, dry burned, re-wicked and reassembled inside 40 minutes today. Could have probably done it faster if I'd really tried, but I was just doing my lady-of-leisure/housewife thang, so no rush. :D

I didn't care for the top-coil kind, with those long wicks; it seems you have to let them soak for some ungodly amount of time (to an impatient person!!!) before you use them, or get a dry burnt tasting hit. Bleah. The bottom coils have their quirks, no doubt about it, leaking being about the primary one, if any of the rubber seals on the base/coil are out of place, or not enough flavor wick to sop up the juice, but you don't have to sit and wait on the stupid things; when I get ready to put a new or a clean coil into a tank, I dab a bit of juice on those tiny little wicks that stick out before I put it on the tank, then take a "priming" pull or two to get the juice INTO the wick (take a pull or two without pressing the button), and that's it, they're good to go.
