Hana Modz and Kanger Tanks help please!

I would love to make my hana modz clone work with my tanks, so I can take them with me and not have to drip when I'm out and about, but for the life of me I cannot get this thing to work right...
I keep getting burnt, hot hits and it's killing me..

I need an idiots guide to box mods:
What type of juice should i use in it?
What should I set it to?
In general, how to make this work!?!

Which Kanger tanks do you have? What resistance are the coils?

Yeah, if it's a kanger protank or the like, it's not going to like the high wattage. Difficult to get the juice/air to flow fast enough. Dial the wattage waaaaay down or upgrade your tanks.

Its a kanger protank 3 and the coils are 2 ohms... I'm getting an RTA in the mail soon but I was hoping I could use these in the mean time... how far are we talking when dialing down the wattage?

I used to run those at 8-8.5W.

Don't over-think it - just start at the lowest setting and turn it up. If it burns, turn it down again. I agree that 8 watts will probably be where you end up.

Also, if you use a higher PG liquid, you might find fewer burnt hits as it will wick slightly more efficiently.

The problem with the DNA 30 (and it's clones) is that they don't down regulate. In other words, you can't vape below the available battery voltage. If the resistance value on the display is flashing when you push the fire button, then that is what is happening. And if that's the case, the Protanks may be a bad match for the Hana.

Get a sub tank. I use the 1.2ohm heads with 80/20 VG/PG 3%nic at 30watts and I'm loving it. Air flow is all the way open.
Now this is what works me I never really was able to enjoy my 30 watt device with aero tanks pro tanks or nautilus tanks.
With the SubTank I finally what understand what people are talking about when they say warm dense vapor. Toons of flavor.
On a side note I tried it at 12 watts like my old tanks not good coils will burn out super fast and taste like white dog crap "lol". Make sure you star at at least 18 watts and work your way up to at least 25 over a few draws. Hope this helps.

I have found a sweet spot at 8.5w... it's not the best in the world but it works... thanks for all your help. I have Orchid V6 RTA coming for me in the mail in a few weeks, hoping that solves my problem. I honestly hate regular tanks and having to replace the heads, I would rather build them myself so having a rebuild-able tank is like gold for me!
