If you can wait, the DNA200 should be out this week with mods following close behind. I'm waiting for the Vaporshark DNA200.

There is so much happening right now its hard not to scoop stuff up. The white Hana was a good purchase I know cause it will last her for a year or two without any grips she still likes the dna20 and its all the power a kayfun needs. Im gonna hang back just to see whats up with the dna200, I like apps and lipo's so it will be a good pairing I think.

I think the DNA200 software is going to be a vaping geek's wet dream. From what I've read from beta testers here, I can't wait.

The more I think about it the more appealing it gets. The VS are classy little mods and by the look of the pics the 200 is really small for what it is, it looks to be smaller than the evolve beta mods. Im gonna have to get one or a board at least and put one together.

The VS looks great. I love my rDNA and DNA. I joined the co-op for 1 board because I don't know if I'll be able to find a case I like for it but it'll be fun to try. I got 4 DNA40 boards on the last co-op and built 3 so I still have 1 left.

Im looking around and it looks like a data sheet is posted but it says the max voltage output is 9v, well if this can do 200w 9v is not gonna do that is it? My sx350 60w board will put out 9.5v is this data not right or am I missing something?

It pumps out 50 or 55amps using a 3S lipo. You can bet Evolv's chip will put out a real 200w. That's the least attractive feature of the DNA200 to me though.

I've only used my SX350j mods for about a week now and it seems to be less efficient than the DNA boards.

Power is a combination of voltage, current and resistance, pick any two. The sx350 has a very limited maximum current. The dna200 has a maximum current of 55 amps (peak). With a 9 volt maximum it will put out 200 watts with a 0.4 ohm coil. The current will be 22.2 amps.
v=i*r, 9=22.2*0.4
p=v*i=9*22.2=200
p=v*v*r=9*9*0.4=200
p=i*i/r=22.2*22.2/0.4=200
You have to consider all three factors to get power.

I agree the red line of the box is never met by me. Being able to tune to how I want to vape is a great feature.

I was thinking about it pretty seriously as my first TC device.

Going to wait for a while and see what else comes down the pike.

Eric
It looks cheaper in the video than I thought it'd be. If you want a TP device, the VS rDNA40 is a great deal for $130 or the VS DNA40 for $100. You just missed the sale last weekend for Father's day but they usually have one for shark week if you can wait. The DNA200 should be out by then but that will be around $200. If you can swing that, it's probably a better buy. Not for the extra wattage but the ability to customize just about every aspect of the DNA200 via computer software. I still love my rDNA40 and DNA40.

@KTMRider

I wont go for a DNA200, completely overkill for a guy that vapes unflavored 100 VG 24mg nic.

I am super happy with my MVP 20W and a Nautilus.

And I wont go to RTA's, Just would like to try TC for its safety features. Prebuilt coils.

I want LIPO, Passtrough and durability. A Interchangeable LIPO system would be great too.

Waiting to see what Innokin comes up with.

The VS DNA40 really interested me a lot, Just dont care for the screen on the bottom.

Many choices, But that is a great thing and this forum is the best Ive found for all these things.

The DNA200 is overkill for pretty much everyone. I vape at 20w or less with my tanks, 25w with my drippers.

Innokin's newest offering:

I wasn't sure about the screen on the bottom of the Vaporshark but it's actually not bad. Did I mention I love my Vaporsharks? :D

I'm still not sure if I should buy one.
First that filmsy battery cover.
And being so small and light I can imagine that the whole combo will be pretty top-heavy.
It would probably make a great "around town" mod but not as your only or primary mod, IMO. The battery cover is very disappointing. I just guessed that Hana would've had a decent way to swap batteries but it's just sad and pathetic. Maybe a sliding door for easier battery replacement?

Im gonna get dna200, im on the whiteout list for Cloudmaker and I think I need to do that cause its a for sure im on the first 500 mods. That VS is gonna be a nice classy edition of this mod though. The cloudmaker is going to have the most mah rating of them all so they say and yes its gonna be boxy and the same size as a ipv3 but it will do for now. I have 3 mods in 1550p's so I have pocket able options already.

I got One on Monday and I have to pretty much agree with Mike's review. The fact that there is no manual with the device and even the “online manual“ doesn't tell you how to open the battery compartments is ridiculous. It does feel cheap (this from a guy who prefers plastic mods), but its not horrible. The seam between the battery and control section leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't like that it's 25mm wide. I would prefer it if it was thinner and taller. What I'd really like is a Vaporshark DNA40 (not rDNA) in plastic. In dual 18650 mode, the proportions just feel odd. Not comfortable at all IMO. I didn't purchase it for the dual setup, so its not that much of an issue for me.

My main gripe with the device is the fire button. The force required to activate the device is so light that you don't even dare to rest your finger on it unless you want it to be firing. The strange thing is that the adjustment buttons are very firm and clicky. I don't know if its buttons on the board itself or what, but its very annoying.

The first day I hated this thing, but since I've adjusted to it and will likely keep/use it dues to its size and weight.
