He was so full of himself ..telling me how ham is cut and to only buy hams that have the bone centered..or it's a cheaper cut and not as tender. I told him he was right but that cut is so expensive it's out of my price range! I just use things like pineapple juice or orange to break down the fiber and cook longer at a lower temp. He just blinked at me...gotta love kids who just learned something (but not ALL of it)!
he's been gone 2 and a half months..but he said he was soooo homesick. He was amazed by the cuture shock and differences between kids he has run into..they think he is weird for saying Yes Sir and no Ma'am. (I would hit him upside the head for forgetting). But he did say when asked about the recent snow.."Oh that was just slush"...like he knows the difference!

IMHO: The old saying "Necessity is the mother of invention" is not quite as accurate as "Laziness is the mother of invention." I've gotten fairly good at figuring out the way to get things done that requires the absolute least amount of energy. Tomorrow, everyone is coming to my place for Thanksgiving dinner. Cleaning is mandatory. So .... I just figured out that my new Mint Plus robot not only Swiffers my tile flooring, but also does an admirable job of scrubbing my kitchen counters and island and dusting a 7' long dining room table. No mention of THAT in the manual. Life is good. :p

I luv that idea..if only my roomba would scrub the toilet..

Yeah - I can't train mine to do that either. :( When my husband was still living and trying to do some of the housework, I came home from work one day and caught him scrubbing the toilet with a toilet bowl brush chucked up in a drill. I just about fell over laughing.
