We've had people post count-downs to their birthday in an effort to remind themselves to post in here on their birthday and still forget, so don't feel too bad. Hope it was a good day for you anyway, despite missing the M&P coupon
The thread started back in the mythical days when Mom and Pop were just starting out and Scuba and P0P were able to log on every day. P0P wanted to do a special birthday treat, but he had to have a way to verify that it was actually someone's birthday, so he chose to "verify" by using the "Today's Birthdays" section all the way at the bottom of the page here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ .
Shortly after he started the thread, though, we discovered that some people's birthdays didn't show up. It took a couple of days to figure out why, but we finally realized that if your profile was set to "Hide Age and Date of Birth" or "Display Only Age" then you wouldn't show up under "Today's Birthdays." Since a lot of people had chosen their setting when they first logged on and had no idea how to edit their profile, I posted the instructions for editing profile settings. The double-advantage is that if your settings will allow you to show up under "Today's Birthdays" they will also show your birthdate on your profile page so that your "it's my birthday" post can be verified even if someone doesn't log on that day to see you show up on the ECF Birthday list.
Since the software is written in php, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/profile.php?do=editprofile should take you to your profile editing page. If it does, just edit the "Privacy" option under your "Date of Birth" listing to either "Display Only Day and Month of Birth" or "Display Age and Full Date of Birth" and then click "Save Changes" in the lower right corner of the page. This will show your birthdate as the first line under the "About Me" tab of your profile. Then we can verify the 11th as your birthday, Scuba or P0P will send you your code, and you can change the settings back if you'd like
