Happy birthday, Mark. And congratulations! I just read in another thread that "SB3174's web page states that the bill has been sent back to the Rules Committee per rule 19(a) ... which means it's over for this session."

So what does it really mean? Is it over? Over for now? Are they going to try again or is it dead, for all practical purposes?

Thank you... From what I understand, the bill is dead for this year. I believe, and I may be completely misunderstanding, that there is a period in the fall, where bills can be brought back up, but apparently it is pretty rare.

I am very happy for you (and for us)! There is no doubt in my mind that they would have voted in favor of the ban if you hadn't showed up. Let's hope that the common sense will eventually prevail and that the more is known about the reduced-harm concept, the harder it will be for anyone to dismiss it.

We haven't won the war yet, but we're winning all the battles, so far. Congratulations to all who attended the hearings and to those who wrote, emailed and phoned.
