So I finally got my stuff no thanks to my lazy mailman. I have had a couple days to play with my 510 cartos. I am happy with them. I do wish I could get the top off but Hey you can't have everything right? I can't beat the price and service I got.

So now I am looking at a Riva. I already have the other similar model and figure I can use what I have with it already. I haven't been too much into the mods but I do like the idea of being able to change batteries that are easy to get. So I go to look at the Riva and the Indulgence keeps calling me LOL.

Riva or Indulgence?
Or just wait a couple weeks till the Riva next version announcement.

Hubby is gonna kill me if I keep spending money, he may make me go out into the world and get a real job LOL .

I can't tell you yet... hahaha!! Don't have a RiVa but I do have the Indulgence and it's what I use ALL the time. I have an extended cup on the way and then I won't have to charge the bat for a looong time! I use EM 801 atties on my Indulgence. I have yet to lose an atty and most of mine go back to October 2009, some back to September!

I'm not sure what my next order will be because they keep throwing those Weekly Special super deals at us. <sits on wallet> Stay tuned. :D

It depends on your vaping preferences. Like "similar" devices, the Riva only vapes at 3.2V, which is too low for some. For me personally, 3.7V is the minimum that I enjoy. For the last week or so I've mostly been vaping on my Indulgence at 5V using two 18350s in the extended cup with a 5V RIT. It's not as compact as the Riva, but the huge flavor and vapor more than make up for it in my book.

Still waiting for someone (maybe EM?) to make a compact 5V mod for a reasonable price. Till then, I'll be sticking to my Indulgence + RIT setup at home and my 3.7V Bartleby when I'm out.

I agree with you candre23. :toast:I lowest voltage that I go is 3.7v on the indulgence. I do not have a Riva yet, but I am seriously considering one. I do not know why, but I just want one. I think at the moment the biggest difference between the two, would be the versatility of the Indulgence, where the Riva is still busy catching up to that.

I think the Riva is a more elegant look than the Indulgence, but all the options that you have on the indulgence is just awesome. 8-o I change between atty’s at least once a day if not twice. Between 510 and 901.(3.7v). Then on my drive home from work it is 5v HV atty time.:D So I suppose it would come down to, if you are ok with vaping at 3.2v, and do no change the options on your device that often, or if you like fiddling and changing the options all the time (like me). :confused:

Choices choices. I think I just convinced myself that maybe I need a Riva too. (Bank manager is not going to be happy, but then again is he ever happy?) :shock:

I have a brilliant little device here,

you can click the switch and vape at --
3.7V, -- 4.5V, -- 5V, -- 6V, -- 7.5V, -- 9V, -- 12V, --

BUT --

I have not tried the ones above 6V, I am cautious,

I use it all the time with my Indulgence passthru,
and I vape at 5V, and 6V with it
using a 801 and 901 and 510 attys.

it is absolutely magic..........

clicky clicky - vapor, - vapor, - vapor -- :vapor::vapor::vapor:

I agree Gerry,

I like to change my atty a few times a day,

it gives a little variety and also when I change atty,
I change flava also,
so that is also nice for me.

I like the idea of a bigger battery, and maybe a bit higher output for the mobile times, but that is also coming,
it is on the drawing board now

and in the mean time, there are always the small adapters that can be used with any battery to fit all attys.

I guess this is my problem , I am not sure what the different voltages do yet. I do know that I am curious about different volts etc.. but am not sure why LOL. I am a broad, I like new toys.

Until last month I had my trusty 808's and am still happy with those, except the battery life sucks for me. I got the (insert other brand here) Riva like one and I like it, but am noticing the battery time is diminishing because I am a chain vaper. I started out with it lasting me about 7-8 hours and now it is down to can we hurry up and charge already. Seriously it is about 5-6 hours now after only a few weeks I have noticed this in the last few days. I am almost positive I know why this happens to all of my batteries. I take extra long drags. I am just the battery killer. ;-)

So it is my understanding that the indulgence can vape different volts with the extender dealy. Then do I need diff atty's or can I use the reg ones I just got and the cartos I got. And if I needed could I just go to radio shack and get batteries ? I think that is my biggest thing. The RiVa is the battery and I want to be able to get batteries without replacing everything. The reason I am considering the RiVa at all is that I can mix it in with my other (insert name here ) one.

If you want longer lasting bats etc. then the Indulgence is obviously the way to go IMHO. With all the adapters you get you can still vape a 510, 801, 808, 901 etc. I'm like you, I kill batteries real quick. With the extended cup and the included 18650 battery I will be able to vape at 3.7v for 24+ hrs without recharging! Sleep? Who needs sleep? :D Not really interested in HV vaping right now...

Be careful going to Radio Shack buying batteries. They must be protected batteries. EM right now has 18350 and 16340 bats in stock but I don't see any 18650 for separate purchase. Perhaps Di can verify if EM will stock these on the new website?

P.S. The 2 18350 bats that come with the Indulgence kit last me almost all day. I vape a lot. :p

yes we all love new toys, even the boys love em.

yes, i too am a chain vapor, never put it down.
and the RiVa batteries last a minimum of 10 hours for me and they will improve with useage according to the manual so long as they are conditioned properly according to instructions in the manual.

With Indulgence,

you can vape at 3.7v with the starter kit
and with passthru at 5 volts.
with extended HV batty cup and battys at 6 Volts

you can use standard attys with the first two options
and also cartomizers.
HV attys with the HV option - #3 above
and LR attys with the first option.

hope that helps.......:vapor:
:vapor::vapor:

eastmall will soon be manufacturing our own adapters so you will be able to use all attys with RiVa also,

and drip tips for as well.
