Last February my wife and I decided we just HAD to quit smoking. We had both had enough and we had seen too many people die from smoking. We had both been smoking for more than 20 years. She was going to use Chantix and I was going to use nicotine gum. We set April 1st, 2010 as our quit date. I was dreading the quit date because I knew it was going to be very hard. About a month before our quit date I saw an Internet ad for e-cigs. I clicked on the ad and was immediately interested. I googled e-cigs and started researching. I also found this forum, which has been extremely helpful. I ordered a 510 kit. A few days later my kit arrived and I tried my first vape. I was immediately relieved - April 1st wasn't going to be so bad after all. My wife tried them and didn't like them. She said she would stick with the Chantix plan. Curiously though, she continued trying the 510's once in a while. So April 1st came, and by that time she was sold on e-cigs. So now it's been a year and neither of us have had a single analog, not a single one... OK, fine, I found a cig in my car a couple months after I quit and I took a couple drags. That's it though. Other than that, not a single one since April 1, 2010.
We do love our e-cigs though. Occasionally, someone in my family will ask when we're gonna quit the e-cigs. I just shrug. Don't know. Don't care. Maybe never. Life is good.
PS - We've moved from stock 510's to eGos, and I'm building most of my own atty's now.
