I keep only getting 5-10ml out of my cartos then the draw gets so tight I can barely draw thru the carto. I think my center posts are sliding in and blocking the airflow! I can see thru my carto, and the little holes about the threads are clear...but still get a hard draw. I understand they are disposable...but 5ml and throw away....thats a bit expensive.

Do you all think my center posts are being pushed in? I have seen folks say the move them out/ twist them.... how do you do this. I have tried but to no avail.

Thanks all.

I'm no genius by any means but I recently read a thread about a similar problem and it turned out that the user was threading his cartos on too tight. If you loosen or remove the carto that is hard to draw is it still hard? If you have a new carto, try using it by only tightening it using the force of your own lips, which should be tight enough.

Only trying to help.

This helps extend the life of mine (most of the time) Thread a thin needle and run it through the center post of your Carto. Be careful some are really tight and wont go through without pulling out the wire, but most will easily slide in. Once needle is through and the thread is hanging out both ends of the Carto, give your Carto a few quick spins on the thread and pull out. This helps to clear gunked up cartos. it works best with thicker cotton thread or thinned out embroidery style.

Thanks all... I have had yet another Carto (Boge 510 LR 2.0 Ohm) that I filled Friday with some Watermelon from DarkCity Vapor.com (60/40). Friday evening it vaped GREAT. Sat started to tighten up a bit.... by Sat evening it was getting pretty tight draw. And today was VERY tight. I went thru about 7ml of juice over these 2.5 days of use.

This just doesnt seem right to get tight so quickly and I wish I knew what I was doing wrong (or if this is normal).

1) I fill using the condom method (batt end first) for the first fill. After that I drip in thru top. Occasionally I may get some juice down center or overfill. In that case I blow the carto out (both ends), wipe threads and blow thru bad end to get any residual juice to blow out the little holes just above threads and make sure all is clean.

2) I can see THRU the carto from top thru batt end.

3) little holes above threads are clear (I checked it with a pin).

4) I put my carto on only tight enough so it doesnt wobble. Very loose.... holes above threads are visiable above where my carto screws in. Also Draw is tight both on or off my BuzzPro.

Ideas??? Im getting desperiate here. When the draw gets really tight my damn vape starts to feel like Im sucking thru a wet dishrag.

Sometimes my boge cartos start to fall apart a little. The center battery contact slides out, which leads to it blocking the two pinprick holes on the threading that allow for airflow. I take a blunt metal object of some kind amd slowly force it back into the original position. This may take a considerable amount of force, but you dont want to break it, so do it slowly. If you get it where it should be, the holes should be blocked about half way by the center pole (or whatever you want to call it), with the top half cleared. This is how they look when they are new. Not sure why this happens, but sometimes they come that way as well. I find it usually gets them breathing better. I also clear the passage by carefully sliding a thin needle past the heating element and gently rocking it back and forth. I'm aware this could damage it, but it hadn't happened yet and using a thread doesn't really push back the slouching fill. That problem is more because of how I fill, though. I use a needle and slide it between the wall and the fill, all the way down. I don't really get it as saturated as I want using condom filling or dripping, and spinning it just makes me feel ridiculous. I've got a plunger system on order for that reason.

*edit* ohhh, your threads are clear too? Weird. Lol, my post was pointless. Sorry!

For me, they usually are about flush when they are ideally situated. I haven't ever had to pull mine out, I have the opposite problem of them sliding out and needing to be pushed in. I think that is because of needle filling though. BTW I just got the MFS plunger system and... meh. It is just as messy as the condom method. Looks like I'm sticking with using a needle. IT does get it crazy saturated, but sooooo much juice is wasted by getting caught in the plunger adapter. I'm not sure how much I like it. I have been vaping nonstop for the last hour on a boge 3.0 ohm that I filled with it, so, it may have some merit.

I did take one of my more plugged cartos (where I could physically see the hole in the middle was narrow) and carefull pushed a paperclip thru it...and out came a LOT of carbon!! And wow...a carto I was going to throw away is now drawing fine now. after I got the clip thru I carefully pushed it around to push the filler in and around the hole to make it wider.

So I think what is happening is the filler is swelling and blocking the airflow.

Wierd. I wonder if anyone has ever figured out how to resolve the issue of when the little wire gets bunched up on dual coil cartos, that has happened to me twice today. I can move them around enough in a single coil to get it loose again, but with dual coils, there is just too much junk in their to figure it out. What a waste, no more dual coils for me. Boges take constant refilling but just work.

Well I am using PG and VG juices on my cartos and I noticed better results (smoother draws too) after the first fill letting them sit overnight. I usually put something between 20 drops at the first fill and I am trying to use them for 4 to 5 days only before I toss them. Thats my sweet spot at this moment.

This worked perfect for me! Thanks for the "Macgyver" fix!
