I've been using the 901 for about 2-3 weeks, now and I'm having a hard time getting a "hit" off of it. I noticed someone said in another thread here that they had a hard time doing the same with the 901 and ended up getting the 801 with success.

What would cause them to hit differently?

Two of my close friends have the 901 and they are able to easily 'draw' big fulfilling hits off of theirs, but I always end up with a wisp of vapor.

I've tried dripping directly into my atty, I've tried pre-filled cartridges (which did work the best so far) and I've even tried hitting theirs to see if it was my equipment.

No avail. Any ideas?

It's all about the method of the draw.

Some people do a primer puff to get the smoke going. Some people hit it like a hooka and just breathe it down. I personally just hit it like a bell curve, lightly at first to fill the chamber, stronger once it's full, then ease off.

Dripping gives me the best hit, I tried a cart again... and while it was consistent, it felt drier and wispy.

Just thought I'd provide an update in case anyone tries researching the topic.

I decided to clean my atty out to see if it was junked/clogged from dripping and got it squeaky clean (twisted up paper towel gently shoved inside and blew from the battery end of the atomizer).

It took me about 20 blows to be liquid-free. From reading other things on this board (and from friends who vape), that was way too much. They were thinking I had just clogged that atty.

So I refilled with just 2-3 drops and tried again. Same crappy results.

I decided to call a buddy over this evening since he has the same exact model as me and he ordered his from the same website about 4 days after me. We tested all the components and it is DEFINITELY my batteries.

BOTH of them. I can lightly hit with his battery and get clouds of 'smoke.' Put one of my batteries on and you literally burn the equipment in your hand from sucking on it so hard.

How is it I could have gotten 2 faulty batteries at once? (ordered from myvaporstore.com --> 901 kit)

Was the juice leaking from the atty back into the battery? Is this normal?

I have a 901 as well and didn't get a consistent hit at first. For fear of screwing up my atomizer I was afraid to do this, but dripping really does work! It's the only way I want to vape now. I'm now using empty carts with 2 drops of liquid and not constantly puffing trying to get a good hit anymore.

Also, in my starter kit both a battery and atomizer were faulty so I can definitely see that happening. I ordered from Vaporstix.com but they all get their equipment from some place in China so it probably has nothing to do with the middle man. They are sending me replacements.

Figured I'd just throw this out there...

When i received my 901 a few weeks ago, I was having a problem with one of the batteries. It was fully charged, but for some reason the LED was flickering inconsistently, like something was disturbing the connection between the battery and the atomizer. Turned out there were tiny pieces of packing material stuck in the bevel of the receptive end of the battery. So I scraped it out with some thin wire and it solved the problem. Check the end of your battery and make sure it's clear of any debris. Good luck!
