I was a bit intimidated with prospect of the "digitally adjusted"(?) variable voltage units, as opposed to the twists/spinners. However the MVP2's aren't as complicated as they seemed at first, I've had mine for a week or so, I guess, and it's going pretty well. I found it easiest to focus mostly on using the variable voltage setting and to just remembering that different tanks/cartos/whatevers with different coils may work best at different voltages. Just starting low and adjusting to find the sweet-spot for each unit(and liquid) you're using makes it pretty simple, I'd say. Also, I think they may have deliberately made the instruction booklet shirt pocket sized just in case you don't quite have it all committed to memory yet :)

When I started vaping, the hardest part was finding a flavor I could tolerate. V2 red was ok at times but inconsistent. I found the samples of tobacco flavors I ordered to smell / taste more like potpourri than a cigarette.

Was seeking a bland vape that I could tolerate. I requested suggestions in a thread here on ECF. Someone suggested unflavored nic base. It sounded very exciting. I ordered up a small quantity of 24 mg nic base in 80% VG / 20% pg from wizard labs.

It was amazingly satisfying and no perfumy / potpourri taste.

It's all I have been vaping for over a year now and have no desire to try any flavored juice.

High VG content is critical. More than 30% Pg and the taste is off. I also hear that the unflavored nic base can vary in flavor from different vendors. All I have used is from wizard labs and it's a fantastic vape. :)

Once I had that worked out, I started to experiment with hardware and quickly found that a high quality bottom feeder like a REO grand and a simple Rebuildable atomizer like a REO RM2 were the key to achieving a simple, reliable, portable, no hassle and consistent vape. The REO and unflavored nic base is all I have used for over a year and have not even considered a Marlboro light after smoking them for over 30 years :)

Okay... just got the MVP2 and have been taking it for a spin. Love, love, love the heft of this beast. Also, love the heat of iClear tank that came with it. I have, however, come to the conclusion that the juice [that was in question] just has no flavor. It's almost 4 weeks old, have tried it in several different tanks, and it's still blah.

CASE CLOSED

Thanks all.
