OH
so i've been trying to decide on a backup mod. i'm deciding between the zmax v3 telescopic, and the vamo v3.....then i noticed something that doesn't make much sense to me. i think mr. busardo might need to update his "hardware suggestions" section.

in this review of the sigelei he say's (starting at 29:17) "the zmax ALMOST dethroned the provari as his favorite device" it came close, but not quite.
A PBusardo Review - Sigelei Z-Max - YouTube

then is his review of the sigelei zmax v3, he said he likes it even MORE than the v1 or v2. best one to date, and MUCH better looking too.

so, i guess the thing that doesn't make sense, is why the sigelei v3 isn't in his "hardware suggestions" section, but the vamo is??

especially now that the vamo and the sigelei are about the same price nowadays. i've seen vamos between $36-59.99 and zmax is between 41.99-69.99 (both price quotes are for tube only).

was just curious if this was an oversight on his website, why??
because:
the vamo he says is an all round good device for the money. (when it was much cheaper than the zmax)
then he says the zmax almost dethroned the provari as his favorite device of all time. (and now it's about the same price as the vamo)

so it sounds to me like the sigelei is the one that he should be suggesting instead.....or at least add it to the list.

thoughts??

Busy man, I would worry about what he has to say in a video and not pay attention to his lists.
has a 100 or so reviews waiting, more devices every day. a couple 1000 emails to sort through at any given time, all while holding down a full time job and family.

This. He is extremely busy with a day job, family, reviews, website, email. He still is able to respond to all of his email but it is becoming difficult for him to do so. His reviews are very thorough though and worth watching. He is also a nice guy who truly cares about what he is doing.

Sent from my Astromech in a galaxy far, far away. The force is with me. so is Mr. chicken.

oh yeah, i completely understand that the man is busy. i get that errors occur.

the question, is if it even IS and oversight?

the thing i'm curious about, is at the current prices of today.....would he still pick the vamo over the zmax.
after watching the sigelei reviews, my bet would be no.
however what do you guys think, based on what he said?? do all of you think he likes the zmax more too??

OH
Ask him! Whenever i comment on his you tube reviews he always gets back to me! Even the old reviews. May take aweek to hear from him but he is a very helpful man.

ok, well maybe he will end up getting back to me after all.
see, i already asked him (about a week ago) and still haven't heard back. so i was trying to get some opinions here based on what he has said in his videos.

so i will ask again, thought and/or opinions about the possible oversight??

well the one thing to remember these are reviews of overall function VS quality of build and price. not what he thinks is the best mod of the two or what HE would prefer to carry around all day. he doesnt do that, that's for you to decide.

all he is doing is saying for what you get at this price it is worth the XXX dollars you pay. for him it is "is it worth the money or not" not you should choose this over this. I reviewed it its worth the cost time to move on to the next device (i think maybe you might be over thinking his intentions with this stuff)

as for the vamo it is already over a year old into its 5th revision as well and can be had for as low as 28 bucks so value vs price it is still a good option for someone on a budget. for 50 bucks you can get a whole kit with batteries and a charger. thats a pretty good deal for someone wanting to step up.

I think it is also worth noting that with ALL reviewers they check the stuff out and move on, they do not use these devices extensively for months on end and the true value of the device would come from the people here or the subforums for max devices, vamo's etc.
as the people that use these things for daily drivers will see the flaws and problems no reviewer ever will in the short time they are playing with them

man. Vaping gear and their prices change so rapidly, it is hard to judge x vs y at a set price point, because a month later there will be something else in that same price point and something else may go on clearance prices.

I like Phil's reviews because he is funny to watch, honest and will give you the good and the bad(for you to agree or not to agree with) as well as diving into some technical specifications that you dont get too many other places. He will also review things in a wide price range so you can see a $15 clearo reviewed right before a $500 mod.

I honestly dont know how he even trys to keep up with everything.
