Wondering if anyone else has had problems with Customs/TGA detaining packages from overseas that contain only hardware? I know about the nic juice issues, but batteries? tanks? Drip tips?
I have only had one package opened previously by customs, and nothing removed. This package though wasn't sent by a supplier but an ECF friend and it was sent in February. He tried to track it down but could only find out it had been detained by Customs because it contained 'suspicious items'.
I rang Customs but of course got nowhere. I was told Customs don't have an issue with e-cigs but I should check with the Therapeutic Goods Administration whether I need a permit. I'm thinking we don't need permits to bring in e-cig batteries. But I was told basically 'you will either receive the package or a notification that you need a permit to bring these things into the country'. No, we cannot give you any time-frame, depends how busy things are.
