I've bought about 30 atomizers from many different vendors over the past 5 months. I'm finding that only a few of them are smooth but many others are harsh and it hurts my throat and lungs. Some so harsh that they make me cough so much that I can't vape with them. Where can I buy the smooth ones and which brands are the best. I had a thought, also, that maybe it had something to do with the ohms. I use a Silver Bullet with an 18650 batt.

Any advice will help because this is becoming a very expensive problem!

Thanks all!

Generally a harsh atty is because it is too dry, not because of the make. If you are using carts, this is a chronic and common problem. Try dripping 3-4 drops directly onto the bridge. If it vapes smooth, its the cart not wicking properly. If it is still harsh, then try washing the atty with hot water and drying thoroughly, then drip again.

And if these are LR attys they are even more prone to drying out and getting harsh, since they are much hotter than regular. Same is true for HV (5V+) vaping. Even at 3.7V it can be an issue with regular Joye attys (2.4 ohms), so I tend to gravitate towards cartos these days.
