I've been vaping for about 5 years now and have never had any issues with vaping. im a heavy vaper and ever since high nic salt juices hit the shops thats pretty much all iv'e been using (for about 2 years). even though its specifically stated that you shouldnt, ive been using the salt nic in sub ohm devices for a long time now and ive never had an issue with it. 2 days ago though my friend got an apple juice flavor that was 50vg 50pg (pretty sure it was green crack). i've had green crack before and its always been smooth. when we put it in his box though it made our lungs hurt and feel as though our throats were closing up, similar to an allergic reaction. having past experiences with harsh juices (particularly apple flavors), i thought that i would get used to it after using it for a while and put some in my breeze. by that night i was completely used to it and not having any issues. the next day i was still able to hit it without feeling like i was being strangled and let a few of my friends try it. they all described the same lung and throat pain that i felt the day before.another day went by withought having any more problems, but tonight ( 2 days later) im feeling this very sharp pain in my lungs every time i take a deep breath or hit the breeze. anyone know what causes this or what it is? perhaps an ingredient linked to the apple flavor? ive never had an issue this drastic with different vg or pg mixtures and ive had 50/50 mixtures many times so it most likely isn'nt related.

P.S: sorry for the whole life story but typing on this website is ridiculous so im not about to go back and edit it.

What mg/ml nic?
Are you sure it is nic salts not freebase nic?
What type of delivery device, resistance & power range are you using?

If vaping a certain liquid causes pain, stop vaping it.

50 mg nic salt. dont have the bottle but im sure of it. in my aspire breeze 1but im using a breeze 2 coil, 1.0 ohm

It is most likely an ingredient. However, that's not really helpful to you honestly, because it could be ANY ingredient, a bad batch, an unsteeped batch, I have no clue.

However, there may well be flavors you don't do well with, Vanillas tend to make me hoarse so I avoid them. For example. But with a complicated recipe good luck finding out what it is.

You are quite the nicotine hound, BTW.

Welcome and glad you joined.
When I first felt the pain you describe, that was my first symptom of PG intolerance. If you start vaping 20/80 PG/VG and the problem disappears then comes back, you may be on your way to vaping PG free juice in the future. Good luck.

The only time I’ve experienced discomfort- not pain- was when I got a dry hit. I know someone who also had discomfort while vaping and later found he had bronchitis- when that resolved, the vaping was fine.

Have you been to a doctor? How long/much did you smoke? Make sure there isn’t some other health issue, and don’t vape stuff that causes pain.
