Received some dekang 555 and RY4 yesterday. Filled my UFS and vaping appeared Really harsh. Nasty harsh throat hit. Switched the atty seeing if that was the nastiness but same. Dumped the tank, cleaned the UFS top to bottom, lubed and new Atty and filled with one if my fav juices. Harsh throat hit. Same with everything I put in it now. I'm starting to think its me and not the juice. My go to juice is now really nasty on my throat and makes me cough. Craziness I know. Wondering if any one else experienced this.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Yeah check your attys real good I had this issue with 3 of my attys and couldn't figure it out. Then I cleaned one and gave it a short dry burn I noticed that one wrap of the coil glowed instantly while the rest of the coil took a few seconds to light up.Turns out that 1 coil wrap was not touching the internal wick and making it harsh.I took a needle and pushed that wrap down on each of the attys and now they taste great and perform like new.

Even your normal juices are hurting your throat too now? If you typical juices and your typical atties all do the same thing, is it possible you just have a cold, or other such thing that may be irritating your throat? My throat tends to get a lot more sensitive to vaping when I have cold-like symptoms

Very true BP. I'll give it a couple days and see what happens.

Definitely sounds like a sore throat problem Chris. I have used both the juices you mention and neither are harsh per se. I do know that at this time of the year when the temperatures fluctuate wildly that my chronic sinus issues rear their head.

Even a slightly sore or inflamed throat can make what "feels right" seem harsh. Yet another reason why I am happy low volatage vaping works so well for me. At higher than base 3.7 voltages, the problem seems magnified due to the hoter vapor.

I remember I had a similar symptom when I was experimenting different coils / wicks with my iAtty -because charred material formed to often on it-:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...en-vaping-maybe-too-much-juice-wick-coil.html

The sore throat came when I installed the wick over the coil (usually the coil is wound around the wick), I concluded that it was due the coil was not having good contact with the wick and then it was not vaporizing properly the juice, giving that nasty sore throat hit.

I think a similar effect hapen when the coil is too loose around the wick.

Or maybe your atty is not getting enough juice.

I have been going through this for almost a month now. I tried all sorts of cartos and attys and nothing worked. I dropped my nic down from 12mg to 6mg and it helped a bit. Still trying to figure out what is going on with me. I used to love Boba's Bounty and now it just tastes like hot acid in my throat :(

Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, which reduces bloodflow to the skin - one downside of what we do is that if you get any sort of sore or wound inside your mouth, vaping itself can make the healing process take longer. Cutting back on your vaping while it heals will help speed the process

Cool, good to know.
