Harsh tasting juice. How do I "smooth" it out?

I just ordered my first batch of juices that are 24mg. I was @ 18mg and wanted to try something higher, but the juice I just ordered, 5 different flavors, leave my mouth with a very strong and harsh taste. The flavor is there, but the harshness makes the juice almost unvapeable. Is there a way to smooth out the juice? Adding some VG perhaps? I know this will dilute the juice, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas to get rid of the harshness, or is this the nature of juices at such a high nic level?

If you are wanting to keep the nic level at or near 24mg, I would suggest trying a drop or 2 of apple cider vinegar into a 10ml batch. Optionally, Lemon juice can be used.
Yes, sounds strange, but they work.
If you want to lower the nic, you can add in some plain VG, which you can get in Walmart or CVS (Humco USP if I remember correctly..)

Higher nic does tend to be harsh if you're not use to it.

Hmmm... what's your PG/VG ratio? Have you given the juices a chance to breathe/steep? That alcohol/perfume/leather taste can be overpowering till shaken frequently, lids off a couple days and then recapped for a week or two or more. 18 to 24 is a jump, but shouldn't be THAT huge in the general nature of things.

Interesting ideas, thanks! The juices in question are from the NicQuid line and I don't know the ratio. However, checking their site ( http://www.nicquid.com/ingredients.html ) it says:

"Let’s build a base. We refer to the carrier material in e-liquid as the ‘base’. This base material is comprised of USP/Kosher certified vegetable glycerin and USP certified propylene glycol. While the blend ratio is our secret, what you get is a base specially designed to deliver thick, full, rich, taste-transparent vapor that is not overly dry or weak on throat hit and wicks well in non-drip style devices such as tanks and cartomizers."

Also, "Time: it’s on your side. Just as in baking, cooking, beer brewing, or soda making- flavors take time to blend and mellow. NicQuid® e-liquids are created in 4L batches and are given time to ‘steep’. Contrary to juice on demand production models, this steep time promotes consistency and ensures that the liquid you purchase is ready to vape when you get it and tastes as good in two weeks as it did when it arrived. True craft liquid is a special thing and should be ready to enjoy when it is received."

I've checked the DOB, which I assume is the "date of batch" and all range from Nov. 2012 to Mar. 2013. So it would seem they've had ample time to steep. I have them open now, sans cap, to see if that will smooth the flavor a bit. I'll give them a few days like that and try again. If they still seem harsh, I'll go with the vinegar. I've tried sweetener before and it's totally wrecked the taste of a juice, even using just a drop or two. It seems to me that the jump in nic level is the culprit with this specific juice. I'd rather try to smooth it out than lower the nic as I do like the 24mg because even though the juice was harsh, I wasn't chain vaping as usual and it satisfied my nic craving more quickly.

Thanks for all the input! You guys rock when it comes to getting a question answered!
