Hey guys, lurker here. Been searching on this phenomenon I've experienced but couldn't find anything on it. Since I'm new I can't ask in the atomizer technical forum.
I seem to get a harsh vapor from a de-bridged and de-wicked 510 normal resistance atty from Volcano. Here's the story:
I drip TV TastyFinger 16mg pretty regularly, and it cakes up my attys/cartos fast and changes the flavor when it does, so I decided to de-wick and de-bridge my 510 atty so I can see the buildup and clean when necessary. a soak and shake in white vinegar does the trick pretty easily when its a lot of buildup, followed with a rinse with distilled water and after a few dry burns gets the coil and wick pretty clean, and no vinegar smell or taste.
However, ever since I removed the wick and bridge, the pull is very easy, yet I get a hot vapor that is thin and can be irritating and painful to inhale after a few pulls.
I've taken to adding a bit of wick stuffed next to the coil in the ceramic cup (wick procured from a dead clearomizer, so I've got a good supply of it) Once that's done, problem solved, I get a tasty, warm, full vapor that's easy on the lungs. Also the extra wick added keeps the liquid from draining away from the coil to the outside of the ceramic cup.
Anybody else experience this? I see people using de-wicked and de-bridged attys on the forum all the time that don't have to do this.
