Harshness with my Lemo

Hey peeps got something to run by you.
I've got a full size lemo, I'm using 28g kanthal wrapped to 1.4-1.5 ohms, 3mm inner diameter and Japanese cotton.
I was exclusively using 12mg juice but dropped to 6mg with the lemo.
As far as functionality the rta is great, but it seems with whatever juice I use it gets harsh on the throat. This is with 50-50 and 30-70 PG/VG both in 6mg.
I love the set up but I have to switch it out with my naut mini after 10-15 hits, and I'm not chain vaping fyi.
Any ideas?

Maybe coil height, maybe wicking. If its not wicking well it might be kind of dry. Maybe one side of the wick isn't getting juice or is blocking the juice channel.

That's kind of what I was thinking but I'm pretty new at building so I wasn't sure.

If you need to remove your liquid to check it I've managed to do it with a syringe or by squeezing a plastic needle bottle, sticking the tip in the fill hole and letting it suck the juice back out.

Yes, move the coil a little higher off the air hole. Actually, increase the air flow another full turn and see how that works. Make sure the wicks have good contact with the juice. Be careful not to burn the wick...that just burns all draws.
