Has any previously non-smokers gone to vaporizing?

I'm just curious because I quit a few years ago, I don't really have any analog cravings, but I've smoked hookah a few times since. The lounges around here only have fruity flavored tobacco hookahs and that has been more appealing than analogs as of late. I ended up buying a Joye 510-T at Valley Vapor to try and get that pleasurable fruity smoking experience that I got from the occasional hookah. I don't buy e-liquid that has any nicotine so really I'm just sucking down vapor for the awesome pleasure that comes from the act of inhaling warm flavors.

I'm just curious to know if there are any others in the same boat as me, or even people who have never smoked before turning to e-cigs.

I am exactly who you are talking about. My story goes like this. I'm 18 and decide to start smoking cigars, after trying one. Got a humidor, many cigars, and fell in love with it. All of this happened this last summer. So now, its winter and going outside to smoke a cigar would be terrible because I'm in Montana. I did some research, and started seeing that there were electronic cigars that could be smoked inside all year around. I got an ecig and all i do is puff it. I haven't ever tried a cigarette in my life. Heck, I don't even have any sort of nicotine addiction. I haven't even felt the effects of it in my cigars before. That's my story, and i assume there are a few others out there.

While I have found vaping to be more similar to hookah than actually smoking, I would insist (as would many members here) that you stick to 0nic. There is no reason to become addicted to nicotine if you don't have to be.

yeah i do, even though i doubt i get enough nicotine without inhaling to do any damage. Real cigars have many times more nicotine and are smoked for 1 to 2 hours at a time and I'm not addicted yet. But i don't know what throat hit feels like and i think the taste of a 0 mg is supposed to be the same as a high nicotine juice.

I have 2 friends that e smoke 0 nic juice, I personally don't see the point but to each his own I suppose.

I can see it... vaping tastes really good!
For people who used to smoke full time, and now smoke occasionally because they really like/enjoy/desire the flavor of smoking I see vaping as a legitimate replacement for that.
It's kind of like a person who switches to decaff coffee instead of avoiding coffee all-together.
If it's something a person enjoys, and is safe for the most part (like coffee) when used responsibly, then why not?
That said I would certainly suggest low or zero nic juice. If you aren't already smoking the higher nic juices are likely to make you feel sick. On the very low and especially ZERO nic juices, you can vape away on those yummy flavors with no issues(or guilt? for picking up a "bad" habit).

Steffanan- I was a PAD smoker for about 10 years... but that was 10 years ago! Since then I have found cigars and continued to smoke kretaks (but not daily) because I think they are so yummy, and occasionally puff on the hookah at a favorite local bar/hookah lounge.
I am not addicted to nicotine although I use it.
I'm in the position where I'm running out of the Djarum Supers I stashed when the ban went into effect and I want another option for my puffing pleasure. Sometimes I use nic juice, sometimes I don't... kinda the same as before, except now I can do it inside my house.
I will continue to go to my favorite cigar bar to enjoy a micro-brew and cigar on occasion. =)

After looking into an upgrade for my husband, I've been occasionally using an old VOLT kit of his to vape with to see how it is. I love vaping! Otherwise, I've only been a social smoker (I'm 40). We both plan on getting our own V2 e cig starter kit as soon as we can. I want to try the different flavors, like Vanilla and Cherry. He's in it for the nicotine.
