I am vaping for the second time, since the beginning of the month, no side effects. But my BF tried my setup and got very ill, possibly too much nicotine, so we are dialing him down as low as possible. He can't smell like smoke, he sells life insurance, lmao. Got him some 4mg yesterday and he still feels like he needs to go down lower with the nicotine so he is going to buy some 0mg juice and mix it.

I've been vaping almost 4 months. The only significant side effect I've seen is some swelling in my feet and ankles, which I think is a possible side effect of high levels of PG consumption. PG causes dehydration, and apparently this foot/ankle swelling can be a symptom of dehydration, strange as that sounds.

I got a kayfun recently, so I was able to decrease from 85%PG/15%VG to 67%PG/33%VG without any loss of flavor or throat hit. Too recent of a change to know if it's having an effect on the swelling, but it seems like it might be.

The only other thing is that if I use too high a level of VG, I feel like I have something in my chest that needs to be coughed up, but it won't move. This is probably because I have asthma, so my lungs are more sensitive than the norm to "foreign matter," and VG is quite heavy, a *great deal* more viscous than PG.

All the other side effects are good ones -- more money, less stink, less mess, less running outdoors every 30 minutes, and a lower likelihood of COPD and/or lung cancer in my future. :thumb:

There are no actual known DIRECT side effects from vaping. PG has been regulated as an additive for over 40 years, VG is merely derived from triglycerides ( fatty tissue).

While PG is known to cause mild levels of dehydration, it's non toxic.
VG is known to assist in retaining moisture in the body.

Diacetyl levels in ejuice flavoring is well below toxic levels, barely even showing on tests. The vapor itself tests negative.

Nicotine itself, pushes more dopamine through the brain. Taking in more nicotine into the body than it can handle may produce "nic drunk". An overdose of nicotine. This is the most common issue. The fastest absorption of chemicals is through the mouth, not the lungs. Our bodies only take in approx 1 mg of nicotine per hit.

PG has been rumored to show in mild allergic reactions

VG is metabolised as sugar and passed out in urine.

Imo, any negative side effects that may occur, outside of allergic reactions to pg, are either due to nicotine overdose, or from preexisting conditions manifesting faster due to the increase of oxygen and absence of chemical inhibitors found in cigarettes.

I frequently post medical info on my fb page listed below in my signature.

I'm new to vaping but when I first started I got a headache. I lowered my Nic from 18 to 12.

About the only other side effects I have heard of is becoming allergic to PG even if at first you weren't. Hopefully that won't happen to me.

Also the best side effect for me is I haven't had an analog in 27+ days.

I've not had any side effects from vaping.... maybe you are confused with the side effects of giving up smoking.. it's something not mentioned in the 'give up smoking' brochere.... about 2 to 3 weeks after you've stopped smoking you can experience a number of ailments that are very difficult and painful it can be... things vary from severe headaches, tummy aches and pains, burning in mouth (tissues regrow)... many, many problems can occur... these will usually clear up after 6 days to 2 weeks... a lot of people think they are allergic to the e-juice.... good luck with your question.

Koala hugs from Australia

I was diagnosed with COPD from smoking for over 30yrs and since vaping my blood/oxygen level has increased and my stamina has increased. About the only real side effect I got from vapeing was the next morning soar throat from the PG but went to a 50/50 and all is well. I cant imagine that with over 4000 carcinogens in cig smoke that any side effects unless immediate from vapeing would be a concern. But im far from an expert on anything. Which brings up another question,.Hasn't vapeing been around long enough for the almighty FDA to make a report? An honest report, not one from campaign funds from lobbyist of big business.

Why does your FB page go full-screen like that? On my wide-screen, it stretches the pics something awful. But I gave your page a Like; any page that says on it anywhere "stop smoking start vaping" I wish I could give 10,000 likes. :) :thumb:

The earliest sign I get that I'm overdoing the nicotine a little is those sharp little pains in the abdomen, like little sharp knives poking you... sorta like gas pains, actually. I cut down my nic immediately if I get that, and also take a Gas-X and a ginger capsule; it seems to help. If it doesn't help right away, I also eat something with real peppermint oil -- usually a small York pattie. But I seem to have my intake pretty well calibrated, a fine balance that seems to work really well; I don't think I've had a single craving since maybe 2-3 wks smoke-free.

Ty. Honestly, I don't know! I only post from my phone and don't really get feedback :/ I just keep posting lol

I try to balance my time between here and fb, but I often get tired of forum debates. Frankly, they're annoying.

There are several early on signs of getting nic drunk. The earliest of which is either the stomach ache, or mild nausea. Once we get our nic level right to achieve cessation, we can vape our favorite flavors all day with little to no issues.
